Superb location, great house!

We spend a great long weekend with kids in this beautifully restored stone farmhouse. The nearby forest, you just walk out of the door and you can start strolling about; the astonishing views, the beautifully decorated house made our time there a most enjoyable one. We had the chance to walk to the quiet location of O Freixo, where there is a supermarket and some bars and restaurants, along the harbor. The following morning we drove to Muros (just 10 minutes away) where we had lunch and bought some local delicacies (spirits and "percebes") at a very decent price. Noia is another well preserved medieval town, that is also within 10 minutes drive from the house. We also had the chance to do a barbeque and enjoy a family dinner. We used the terrace upstairs in the mornings for having a great outdoor breakfast, despite the fact of being December!. In short, a great place to stay when visiting northern Spain. Close to Santiago Airport, and very convenient. Great value for money and very friendly managers. Toys for the kids, books for them and us, guides ... , not a detail was missing!. We would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in visiting the area.

Wonderful spacious house

We stayed for two weeks in August in this cottage with very much pleasure. It offers us the possibility to explore the surrounding area with beaches, cities and nature.

It is located on the hill above the village giving you a wonderful view on the hill and the bay of Noia

The cottage was complete with all we need except for some relaxing outdore furniture. For us, 4 adults, the cottage was very spacious and having two bathroom was a welcome luxury.

Contacting the owner was a bit difficult unfortunately, but his local representative was very helpful and could always be reached if necessary.

O Freixo is a small fishing town on the shore of the Ria de Noia y Muros. The area is very unspoilt, although has much to offer in the way of holiday activities; beaches to all tastes for the summer - protected beaches on the shore of the Ria and more wild ocean beaches 20km or so away past Muros - historic towns of Noia (10km) and Muros (16km) just a short drive away, impressive hills for hiking and the spectacular prehistoric site at Barona just 30km away.
