About the property

Mountain Splendor is a large 3400 Sq Ft house with a HUGE DECK and a breathtaking view of the Smokies. It isn't your typical, cramped log home. Instead, each of our four bedrooms is very large. If you are looking for a QUIET, RESTFUL VACATION for your large family or two families, this is it! For your convenience, there is HIGH SPEED INTERNET ACCESS, Wi-Fi, and a game/theater room with a 60" TV and a pool table. Also, there is a large, two car garage with a Foosball table, ping pong, and air hockey. There is also plenty of extra parking on the driveway for guests. Once inside, you will enjoy the OPEN FLOOR PLAN of a great room, dining room, and fully equipped kitchen surrounded by windows looking out to the mountain view. This area opens onto a large deck with tables and lots of chairs. There is also a large master bedroom with a private bath, a sunroom and access to the deck. The lower level includes a large game/theater room, three bedrooms, including another king bedroom with a private deck and two more bathrooms.

On a cool evening, enjoy the mountain view while you relax by two WOOD BURNING FIREPLACES, one on each level, and play games, read a book from our lending library, or watch TV or a movie.

The main level of the house has a full bath, a half bath, a laundry room with a washer and dryer and the master suite bedroom, in addition to the kitchen and great room. Downstairs, two bedrooms have a queen beds and the third bedroom is very large with a king bed.

One of the favorite features of the house is the hot tub. You can relax and let go in this secluded area. The hot tub is cleaned and sanitized after each stay. You and your pet will enjoy the rare 'level' yard and parking area.

Mountain Splendor is an ideal place to visit any time of the year. Of course, it is very popular when the leaves have their brightest colors in October. Families also find it a great place to stay when their children are out of school in June, July, or August. Holidays are especially enjoyable at Mountain Splendor. During the Christmas holidays, you can celebrate under the Christmas tree in the great room. Off season is also an enjoyable time at Mountain Splendor. In January or February, you might be treated to a blanket of snow. In March or April, the weather is normally nice and you can enjoy Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge or the hiking trails in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, with few other tourists.

Our guests routinely tell us that they spent their most relaxing vacation our former house, I'm sure that this will also be true at our new home. We always look forward to returning to our home here in the mountains and are certain that you will feel the same.

Mountain Splendor is located in Cobbly Nob Village, a SECURED COMMUNITY on beautiful Webb Mountain that overlooks the northern edge of the Smoky Mountains.

This is truly the quiet side of Gatlinburg (10 miles on 321) with EASY ACCESS FROM THE EAST through Newport if you wish to avoid the congestion of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.

When you enter Cobbly Nob Village, you will pass the security post that is manned 24/7 and drive thru the front 9 holes of Bent Creek Golf course. Turning onto Deer Path Lane, Mountain Splendor is a quiet haven from the hustle and bustle of the many activities available in nearby Gatlinburg (10 miles) and Pigeon Forge (15 miles).

Great large house with great view

Great house, needs a little updating. Everything was as described. A few problems: Master upstairs bedroom bed frame is coming apart. Owners/managers did say they were going to get that fixed. We braced it and it held while there. Pool cues are missing tips and there is no chalk for cues at house.

No rental will be perfect, and these things didn't prevent us from enjoying our stay, just an FYI. Would consider renting again.
