Cozy & Comfortable
Charming little place a few blocks from The Gage. Perfectly met our needs for a weekend wedding.
a place with character!!
Loved it. Cozy, unique, well-stocked and exactly as promised--and exactly what I was looking for.... It's a very unique and historic little house, and off the beaten track but close to the Gage Hotel and its White Buffalo Bar. Plenty of little seating areas for relaxing with morning coffee or in the evening with a book and a cocktail. Thank you!!!!
great Mexican atmosphere and comfort.
A VERY CUTE PLACE
NICE ATMOSPHERE IN AND OUT
NO STOVE WITH OVEN,
LONG WALK TO GET TO RESTROOM FROM MASTER BEDROOM, DOOR CLOSED FROM MASTER BEDROOM TO RESTROOM.
THEIR IS A DOOR PUT IT
My casa has a convection oven. There's also an induction stovetop, microwave, large electric skillet and an oversized crockpot.
The Blas Payne is a 125 yr. Old Adobe. The door between the 2 bedrooms is just 5 ft. Tall. Its part of the history of the home as the original owners wife was quite short. However it could be a safety hazard for most folks. Anyone looking at the door can see this is the case. So I put a large mirror against the door for guests in master bedroom to use.
The walk between master bedroom and bathroom is no more than 30 ft!! My casa is 125 years old and is historically significant. I have chosen to maintain it as an authentic Mexican Adobe! I cannot exhange the wonderful quirkiness of a 5 ft. Tall door or move the bathroom--my casa is wonderful just as it is!
Perfect jumping-off spot
We spent 3 days at Blas Payne and ventured in all directions. This was the perfect home base. The home was comfortable and adorable. The only negative is that the only bathroom is in one of the bedrooms & could be a privacy concern for some guests.
The bathroom is a totally separate room with full walls and a door. The entrance into the 2nd bedroom is also the entry into the hall area and then into the separate bathroom.
This is a historically significant home and is over 125 years old. I chose to keep the home as originally designed to retain it as a true Mexican Adobe.
Wonderful place to call home away from home. Everything you could need and more. Such a peaceful, relaxing vibe with uplifting color combinations. Couldn't have stayed at a better place!
