A modern 2 bedroomed furnished apartment in the beautiful village of Xirles which is predominantly Spanish and has fantastic mountain views and scenery. In close proximity you will be able to get to Guadalest, Altea, Benidorm, Calpe, Albir and Alicante.
The apartment is very spacious and has the largest terrace in the block with beautiful views. There is also a rooftop terrace with sun loungers for sunbathing. The 2 bedrooms have 2 twin beds and the kitchen has a fridge freezer, electric hob, toaster, kettle and microwave. There is air conditioning and satellite TV.
In the village there are 3 Spanish restaurants and also within walking distance there are far more bars and restaurants in the nearest village of Polop. There is a supermarket in Xirles which is very quaint and sells all your food and beverage requirements.
Also in the vicinity you will find the biggest theme park in Europe called La Terra Mitica and a water park with a zoo. There are numerous golf courses in the area too.
There are numerous walks in the area for hikers or even shorter walks for the not so energetic in the countryside surrounding the village. It is a perfect escape for a quiet holiday, but all you need for entertainment is just a short drive away.
We are living in Malaga in Spain as we love the country, food, people and lifestyle. My name is Clare and my partner is Dave and we have a son called George who is 6 years old. We really like the opportunity to share our apartment so others can experience the pleasure we have had in the past.
Clare Shelton purchased this apartment in 2005
This modern property is in a unique beautiful quiet area but has so many areas and activities in the near vicinity which are so easy to get to. The Spanish in the village are so welcoming and friendly which makes you feel that you are in the real Spain.
The views and the atmosphere in the village made us fall in love with our home. Our apartment has the largest terrace in the block which the views can be enjoyed from with a nice glass of Vino!
Dissapointing / car hire is essential.

Firstly I appreciate that the owner arranged for the key holder to take my mum and friend about as required as they were unable to get taxis from the apartment. So for that thank you but that had to come from an initial complaint.
i can be certain that the cleaning money you leave for the key holder to clean it is wasted.
-Dirty sandwich maker. Had to scrub before using
-Furry kettle. Had to descale before using
-open food left in the fridge from previous people
-beds unmade when they arrived at 7pm.
-dirty worktops had like dust or thick like powdery to the point where if you wiped a cloth across your cloth was brown
- same as on veranda. The powdery stuff was just swept to the side.
Dirty potatoe pot . Thick of the same stuff as the worksurfaces.
Cleaning the apartment when first arriving was not what was expected.
When we arrived we were told no shop was open and when asked about a drink the keyholder gave just enough goats milk for a drink each but were able to make a quick essentials trip with Hugh keyholders husband to polop only just bcos he was going for cigarettes otherwise we would have had nothing.
Advised by the keyholder 15/20 minute walk to the next village Even neighbours disagreed and said its at least 45minute walk and said that a car is essential for this area.
The key holder uses the fridge in the apartment to store her milk.
5 flights of stairs to carry cases up - is not for elderly or people with medical issues which should be noted in the ad.
Both of us have medical problems. One with a severe bad back and one with breathing and panic attacks.
So in conclusion it was a dissapointing stressful holiday.
Whist in a lovely quiet area This property is definatly only for people who have car hire as taxis are unable to understand the address or people who can walk 45 minutes up a very steep incline.. Not for elderly or people with medical conditions. Definatly just for walkers/ hikers and mountain climbers not people wanting a relaxing holiday
Had a great time. The apartment was just as advertised. Real plus for us having Sky - as CBeebies at bedtime for our toddler is a must. The wee playpark just down the road was also really handy. Although it's a bit off the beaten track, it was just what we were looking for. As long as you have a car everything is really accessible. Spent a full day at Terra Mitica (really useful that they hire buggies there), also really handy for Aqulandia and a few other theme parks. Clare the owner was really helpful and the downstairs neighbours were really friendly and they gave us some lovely fresh goatsmilk - delicious! Would recommend this as a good place to stay.
A very nice apartment in a the small village of Xirles but with superb mountain views and close to all amenities such as supermarkets. There is a also a small shop very close by and a couple of restaurants in easy walking distance. The property description is accurate, it was clean and in very good condition. It has ample hot water and an efficient air con/heating system. There is a TV with Sky box and a music system. The owner provided excellent customer service. As climbers we found the property to be in an enviable position with easy access to some great areas. However I would recommend it to anyone wanting an affordable place in a good location.
Xirles is a small village 3 km outside Polop/La Nucia. The town has a small supermarket and two restaurants but in Polop you can find everything you need. The appartement was clean and ideal for us (2 adults, 2 children 11/13 y.o.). The instructions on how to use the different devices was clear and we did not have any difficulty getting them to work. In case there was a problem the friendly neighbours, 1 floor below can assist.
General, it is a simple clean appartment and we can recommend it.
Largest theme park in Europe (Terra Mitica) is 10 minutes drive away. Also there is a water park and zoo and one of the best golf courses in the area designed by Jack Nicholas.
There are lovely beaches at Altea, Calpe, Albir, Alfaz and Benidorm.
Sightseeing is recommended for Altea and Guadalest.
