The apartment is on the second floor of 'Les Chalets de Wengen', an attractive timbered building 150 meters from the village square of Les Coches, and its shops, restaurants and ski lifts. It is comfortably furnished and equipped for 6 people. Wifi is available in the apartment for a charge payable by credit card (ranging from €5 per day to €20 per week). The lounge has comfortable swivel chairs, a sofa-bed (double), HD TV (with UK channels) DVD player with radio, ipad dock, large rug, chests of drawers, standard lamps and coffee tables. The solid oak dining table is extendable and easily seats 6 people. The kitchen is very well equipped, with dishwasher, oven, microwave, electric hobs, toaster, fondue set and cafetière. A slow cooker means you can come home to a hot meal after a day on the slopes. One bedroom is en-suite, the other has access to a bathroom and separate toilet. Both bathrooms have heated towel rails. Bed linen and towels are provided, with beds made up ready for guests' arrival. The two bedrooms are separated by the hall, giving full privacy. The large balcony has patio chairs and tables from which to enjoy the beautiful view across the Isère valley in the afternoon sun. There is easy access via a lift from the comfortable Reception area (where there is free wifi) on the ground floor. The building has a small indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and a laundry room. Les Coches is a small, family resort, perfectly situated at the heart of the huge Paradiski area.

Why Jacky Parker chose Bellentre
My family started skiing in 1970 and we visited many resorts around Europe. We were impressed by the large La Plagne area and holidayed there several times, eventually skiing over the Arpette ridge to Les Coches. We loved the small village in the woods so saved to buy our first apartment in 1999. We still have it (HomeAway ref. p12365o) but now our family is much larger we bought the Chalet de Wengen apartment in 2008 so we can all enjoy time together.

Home from Home, cosy apartment.
Absolutely faultless in every way. This was our second visit to the resort but first to this apartment. It just felt like home and was a great place to return to after an enjoyable day on the slopes. Many properties are set up as pure rental with basic furnishings and equipment but this apartment is set up with all the comforts you would expect at home.
Fabulous apartment, extremely well equipped, in lovely village, close to ski lifts
We have just returned from a week stay over the new year period in this fabulous apartment. Everything was to a high standard, bedding, towels, etc. and very well equipped with cooking utensils, also there was a generous amount of crockery and cutlery (not just one plate per person like you get in some apartments). It was all spotlessly clean.
The apartment is set in a lovely little village just 5 minutes walk to the ski lifts (if that) and is in a great position to reach the Vanoise Express cable car giving access to the Les Arcs ski area. We loved the atmosphere and the new year fireworks display put on by the village.
There was a homely feel to the apartment, with a good selection of books and DVD's available. The bread ordering service at reception was very convenient with fresh bread available from 8:00am. We did not eat out at all in the village so can't comment on the restaurants but there didn't seem to be too many places to eat, although I was told the local pizzeria was a friendly place. Not a problem though when you can shop at the nearby Spar which had a good choice and eat in in comfort!

We would not hesitate in recommending this apartment and the ski area too.
The apartment was exactly as described, a real cut above the usual skiing apartments, comfortable and spacious, a very high standard. Spotlessly clean, high quality bedding and towels provided, comfortable new chairs, sofa, well-equipped kitchen with basic cooking condiments provided, warm and quiet at night. 2 bathrooms with towel rails, a bonus for drying wet ski kit. TV with English news channels; Wifi available at cost from the building managers - not brilliant band-width. There are DVDs, books and games in the apartment. Free parking close by outside, and very easy to load and unload the car. A couple of minutes walk to the small resort of Les Coches with a couple of bars and restaurants and chair lift, an easy walk even in ski gear with kids. The kids enjoyed the free swimming pool under the building. Our 10 year old thought that the ESF ski instructors were much better at Les Coches than other resorts such as Tignes, they had more patience with the kids. Weather was not brilliant for our week, and we found the snow quite mushy on the runs down to Les Coches, but once up on top of the ski area it was much better. We had no reason to contact the owners or manager whilst there, but full contact details were provided and judging by previous conversations they would have helped us with any issues.
Super apartment in a great location
We have just returned from a lovely week in Les Coches. We were two adult couples looking to stay in a pleasant village ideally located for the entire Paradiski region and this apartment ticked all of those boxes. The living area is spacious and the kitchen is well equipped. The bedrooms are comfortable and the bedding of excellent quality. The main bedroom was particularly lovely - I enjoyed sleeping with the curtains open and waking up to look at the twinkling lights across the valley - you knew that if you couldn't see them then snow was on the way!
Everything in the apartment was of good quality and was spotless. Full instructions were given on how to access the apartment and it couldn't have been easier.
The apartment is just a short walk from the lift, the boulangerie and the pub - all the important things! A special mention goes to Chris at l'Origan for his wonderful hospitality.
A great stay in a fab apartment in a lovely village.
Superb and very comfortable
We had a fabulous week staying in this property. Right from the start, the owners were prompt, efficient and friendly. The property was everything the website described. It was spotlessly clean, with a superb layout that added to its feeling of spaciousness. The view from the balcony looked onto trees and then further on across the valley, which was lovely. The kitchen was well-equipped, the beds were comfortable, towels and linen were good quality, the lounge seating was very comfortable (something we've not managed to find in many rental properties!). There was a great little library of DVDs, which we enjoyed on a couple of evenings. It seems like a small detail, but the storage, and the way there were plenty of hooks and mirrors etc, just in the right places, meant the apartment never felt cluttered, which all helped to make it very easy to live in. It was a short walk to the centre of Les Coches and the chair lift for easy access to skiing the Paradiski area. We would certainly recommend this apartment - and will definitely be making a booking again in the future.
Wonderful apartment in a great location
This apartment was perfect for our Christmas get away. Cosy, clean and extremely well presented we were delighted that the description given on the website was so accurate. We had a wonderful week and really didn't want to come home!
The village has a small main square with a bakery, butcher, delicatessen, mini-market, pub, pizzeria and restaurants. There is a weekly programme of family activities and entertainment in the square in summer and winter seasons. Around the village are other restaurants, sports shops (with equipment hire), ski schools, tourist office, launderette with linen-hire service. There is a cinema and swimming pool complex In the neighbouring village of Montchavin. A free shuttle bus operates between the two villages.The mountain scenery is spectacular all year round. For skiing, the resort is excellently placed at the centre of the huge Paradiski area. You are directly on the La Plagne ski runs and the Vanoise Express cable car link to Les Arcs is just one uplift and a blue run away. In the resort there is an ice-skating rink and cross-country ski trails through the woods. There are creche facilities and ski-school classes for children from age 3. The range of summer activities is very wide: hang-gliding, hiking, horse-riding. guided nature walks, mountain-biking and even a circus school for children. In the valley below there is white-water rafting and canoeing on the river Isère. Alongside the river 16 kilometres of surfaced path are reserved for walkers, joggers, rollerbladers and cyclists. For swimmers there is a lido on the river in summer and a new pool complex open all year in the nearby village of Montchavin. The town of Bourg St. Maurice 12 kilometres away has a pedestrianised centre, a good range of small shops, two large supermarkets and a Saturday street market year round. The lovely lakeside town of Annecy is only an hour's drive away and Italy is an easy day trip in summer via the Petit St. Bernard pass.
