Great House, Great Location

Having visited this part of Tenerife on multiple occasions, I can honestly say this is the best located property we have stayed at. Very peaceful, yet so close to all the bars and restaurants (15 minute walk). The booking process was very simple and the checking in process was seamless. We were met by a very happy, friendly lady who told us everything we needed to know about the property. The property itself had everything we needed to make it a home from home experience.(Including British TV) We spent most of our days lazying in the garden taking in the winter sun or walking the 15 minutes to the Gran Sur shopping centre to stock up on supplies.

As with most things you can always find something that you would change or improve and the reason we only score the property 4 stars is the sofas in the living room are looking a little worn and some of the decoration would benefit from a freshen up. A/C would also be a benefit.

We will definitely recommend the house to friends and family and would not hesitate to stop here again in the future (If we can find space in the calendar !!) Thank you Patrick.

Spacious, Comfortable, Clean and Perfect Location

We stayed here over christmas. We were met by a lovely lady who let us into the property, showed us the relevant and handed us the keys. Lovely gated complex, spacious rooms and everything you could possibly need especially kitchen utensils. TV and wifi which is an added bonus when you have 3 children! Enjoyed our stay and will be recommending to my friends and family. Patrick was quick to respond to my emails and accomadated us when Monarch airlines collapsed. He was flexible with dates and allowed us to reduce the 14 nights to 7 as we were struggling with new flights. The only downfall was having to return home.

Lovely position, comfortable accommodation with everything you could need for your stay!

Easy walking distance to everything; we loved the position of this accommodation. The property and its setting is really beautiful and very picturesque, when you are swimming in the pool the view towards the mountains is stunning. We really loved our stay and were very impressed with everything provided for guests use from toilet rolls to hairdryers, an abundance of bath and hand towels, tea and coffee as well as what amounted to a very handy welcome pack in the fridge which included a bottle of wine - Cheers!

The actual accommodation is well equipped and comfortable if a little dated in places such as the en-suite which would benefit from an upgrade to a walk in shower and the lounge sofas need replacing as they are shabby and dirty which is in contrast to the lovely modern kitchen which looks great.

We enjoyed our holiday in the south of Tenerife and would definitely return to this area, this property provided an excellent base for us as a couple. We enjoyed breakfast in the sun on the front patio and afternoons chilling in the garden (which gets the sun between 11 and 3), it was then a ten minute walk to El Duque beach for a last swim.

The beautiful pool is huge and was very quiet during our stay, some might say a bit cold but we found it very refreshing.

Nice spacious property, well suited to a couple or small family in a lovely position in a beautiful area.

Fabulous holiday

The apartment was clean, spacious, comfortable and well equipped. There was only 3 of us so we were each able to have our own bedroom which was great. The back garden was fantastic with sun beds and table and chairs. To cool off the pool is literally behind the back garden. There are restaurants and a supermarket within walking distance and Playa Fañabe about a 10 minute walk away. The busy famous market is a 5 minute walk away. The apartment is in a quiet residential block so we all managed to sleep well. It was just a fantastic week and we would certainly return.

Good amenities in great location

Myself and my family enjoyed a lovely 10 days in Adeje. The property is ideally situated, with only a 10 minute walk to the beech, restaurants and bars, close to a lovely shopping area (Duquesa) and easy to access by car from the main motorway that runs along the coast. Thus, it was a short hop by car (or bus) to Siam Park and the neighbouring resorts of Las Americas and Christianos. The surrounding area was also quiet at nights due to the short walk from the main hub. One caveat I'd place on the walk is that we are all fairly fit, but if you are very unfit, you might feel the walk in the heat of the day.

The property itself was well appointed and the pool superb. The kitchen had everything you'd need for making breakfasts, lunches etc. We did not watch the TV, so cannot comment on the channels. The Wi-Fi worked well.

The only negative that knocks a star or more off the score is the fact the decor is looking a bit tired. The kids bedroom small and a bit shabby and decorated for 5 year olds, so one of my teenage boys decided to sleep in the lounge, rather than be cramped in with his older brother with a small pull-out bed. Some of the other rooms also looked a bit dated in terms of style.

However, the apartment was clean and easily liveable. We were there in early to mid-July during a hot snap of 30C so we noticed the lack of air conditioning: something I failed to check before booking. The apartment was therefore too warm for some on nights where there was no breeze coming in the windows.

This apartment scrapes a 4 (say 3.7 out of 5), but represented good value for money on the days we visited. I hope that's a fair reflection of what we found.

Regarding the smallest bedroom as I mentioned to you previous booking: "The third bedroom is the smallest of all three, yet it has the main individual bed 90x190 as seen in the picture and another single bed (trundle) underneath. Which is ok for for teenagers". Teenagers is anywhere between 13 and 19, let's say it more suitable for the young ones. As you mention is still a good value for money, and we plan on doing some changes. Patrick

Fabulous winter getaway.

La Duquesa is one of the best holiday properties I have experienced. Spacious, extremely well equipped, comfortable and reasonably priced. Gordon was very helpful. We had a fantastic two weeks, highlighted by the cable car ride up Teide. The immediate area of Costa Adeje is high quality, with a good selection of restaurants and a lovely promenade all the way to the delightful village of La Caleta.
