Gorgeous Mountain Home with all the bells and whistles!
My family has such a wonderful time here. Everyone is from out of state, except me, and it was so nice to be together under one roof. We enjoyed cooking meals together in the gorgeous remodeled kitchen! Playing pool and hitting the hot tub in the evening after a long day of activities. It’s the perfect location near Winter Park and Grand Lake, both places we went to visit with adults and kids. Everyone had a blast! We would definitely recommend this home and book it again if it’s available next year during our family vacation time.
Truly a Home Away From Home
We are just leaving from our week spent at this amazing property and I cannot day enough positive things about the house itself and owners! The house is full of amenities and has so many great spaces to hang out and have kids playing and adults playing. It was great for all ages and in a convenient location near winter park and other fun attractions! The owners were responsive and accommodating. Can’t recommend this house enough!
Perfection: House, Location, Activities for all!
Our family of 13 (adult kids, grands) gathered for a week in this really perfect spot. The ages of our grandchildren go from 21 to 7. Everyone had a terrific time.
Wildlife was abundant, including the moose wandering near the house one morning., Winter Park alpine slide, gondola ride on the mountain, hiking, splashing in creeks, the rodeo....
The house couldn’t have been better. We all want the kitchen which was well appointed and well stocked. Beds are comfy. Our little ones shared the bunk room and loved it. There are ample spaces for gathering or finding a quiet spot to read. Easy access to town and surrounded by mountains. A Safeway store is 5 minutes down the road.
The owners (Jen and Ryan) were so easy to work with and easily reached. We all agreed it is our best VRBO ever.
Great location, beautiful home!
We had 3 families staying here with a total of 11 people. The accommodations were perfect! All the bedrooms gave us lots of space to spread out and there was so much for the kids to do. They had puzzles, playstation, pool table, books, and the highlight was the hot tub. The home is just beautiful and was very clean. The kitchen was large and gave us lots of room/seating to eat as a big family. We cooked at least one big meal each day and appreciated all of the kitchen items available to use like the grill, blender, toaster, pots/pans, coffee pot, and tons of knives and utensils and even some plastic bowls for leftovers. Everything we would need! The beds were very comfortable and it was super nice to have three full baths with this many people. We also used the washer/dryer which was very convenient. The wildlife around this area was fun to look for. We actually had three moose walk through the front yard during our stay! We did lots of things during our one week stay. Winter Park is less than 10 minutes away and offers lots of family activities, even in the summer. We also did some water rafting which was about an hour drive, visited Estes Park, which was about 2.5 hours away, and also went to the Georgetown Railroad/mine which was about 50 minute drive. It did seem like all of the activities were about an hour drive away but it was very scenic and wasn't unmanageable. It was nice to be able to have a "home base" instead of traveling around between hotels rooms for the whole week in order to visit all of these places.
It was chilly the first night of our vacation and dipped into the 30's so the house was a bit colder but then it warmed up quickly and by mid-week it was in the upper 70's. We had a little bit of a hard time figuring out how to handle the temperature adjustment. Once the house was warm, it was very difficult to cool down. There is no air conditioning, which we are used to having in Missouri. So the only thing we wished the house would have had would have been some ceiling fans in the bedrooms to circulate the air. The kids room with the bunkbeds was great but it got really warm in that smaller room with 5 bodies. We did run the box fan at night but it didn't cool off a whole lot. Other than that, we had an amazing vacation and were very happy with our stay at this home!
Very good. House was spacious, very well equipped. Owner very responsive to needs. Location is great.
We totally enjoyed our stay at this home. Home was beautiful and spacious for our 3 families of 10. Weather was not very cooperative but enjoyed our stay despite that. Even had a couple of moose come to visit
