About Sallie Jeeves
I bought this old 1 star (10 bed ) hotel and spent 3 years restoring the property back to its 18th century origins. Furnishing it with possessions from 20 years in Provence. It has been featured in several European Interior magazines.
Sallie Jeeves purchased this House in 2007
Why Sallie Jeeves chose Fontvieille
I had always stayed here in the past when it was a hotel and the chance to buy it came along just as I had sold a previous property in the nearby village of Paradou. It has been a labour of love and now it is a tranquil home form home for me and my family who live in London.

An exceptional villa that is authentically Provence!
We loved this villa and would stay again! Beautifully furnished and well maintained. This is the "real deal" if you want Provence authenticity. It's central to visit vineyards and many of the more touristed villages in Provence. We loved sitting out on the upstairs patio and hearing the town bells ring.
We are delighted you enjoyed staying in our house and hope you will return again another time.

Beautiful place and spot in Provence
We loved our stay at Maison Laetecia!! everything was perfect and the village of Fontvieille is lovely and great location. Can't wait to come back for another stay!
Beautiful Provencal villa in a great location.
Our group felt like locals staying in the beautiful villa. A great, central location to enjoy all that Provence has to offer.
We are so glad you enjoyed our lovely house. Hopefully you will come back again.

Gracious and relaxed home
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is very beautiful, and yet welcoming and relaxed. The beds were very comfortable, and there are plenty of bathrooms, which was extremely convenient for our family group. The terrace off the kitchen could not be more delightful.
Fontvieille is a pleasant market town with plenty to offer in terms of market, bakeries, small shops, and restaurants. (American visitors take note: you need reservations at a restaurant!) We had some lovely meals out of the markets: amazing local produce (strawberries, asparagus, olives) and delicious roasted meats, potatoes, and paella. We took day trips to the Camargue, Arles, Avignon, Les Baux and Nimes. There are many more lovely places to see than we had time for this trip. We also enjoyed walks in and around Fontvielle itself.
Our host made us feel very welcome and communicated freely. I would happily return and recommend it highly.
Thank you for your kind comments and so pleased you enjoyed your stay.
Hopefully we will welcome you back one day again in the future.

We enjoyed our stay. The house was well located for visiting Provence.
I am more concerned about receiving a refund of the damage deposit.
Thanks, John Banks
Beautiful Home in the Heart of a Beautiful Town
The home is beautiful. As beautiful as the photos suggest. And as grand. And as comfortable. We were 4 adults. Having 4 bedrooms, each with its own ensuite, was absolutely perfect. The village setting is charming. It proved to be a great location for day trips, including visits to Montpellier, Les Baux, Avignon, Arles, Saint-Remy-de-Provence. There are far more restaurants, and good ones at that, and boulangeries in Fontvieille than one would expect in a place of this size, all within walking distance of the house. We began and ended our visit at the same restaurant, La Table de Meunier, just around the corner from the house. It was lovely. The other nights, we cooked dinner in the comfortable kitchen and ate in the dining room overlooking the front terrace. Parking in front of the house was never available, but there was a free public parking lot very nearby at the end of the street that had over 50 spots (just a couple of doors away from the restaurant and on the same side of the street). Not sure what it would be like in peak season, but we were always able to get a spot. Definitely, the place to park, rather than searching for a spot on one of the narrow streets. Sallie was very responsive and very helpful, providing answers to any questions I had. A couple of small observations. For those who like to drink lots of coffee in the morning, there is only a French press coffee maker. It makes good coffee, but not enough at one time for four people. The internet signal was not as strong on the main floor as it was on the upper two floors (the router is on the third floor). Very happy to recommend this lovely house.
