Historic charm without the crazy price. Only one block from downtown Wilmington, NC. Walk the river front and visit the many privately owned shops and restaurants of every imaginable kind. Visit museums or numerous historic sites dating back before the revolutionary war. You can also ride the various trolleys or horse drawn carriages. Maybe the famous ghost tour is more to your liking. Several beaches within 15 to 30 minutes. The downtown area is very supportive of our four legged friends. There is a little bit of everything for everyone. You can even do nothing at all and enjoy porch living at it's finest right at home.

Four guys on a golfing trip from the uk. We all had our own bedroom and bathroom. Absolutely ideal for our trip. Easy walking distance to the old town bars and restaurants. Good parking facility around the back plus on road was available sometimes. Would definitely stay again. Host Brian was available via messaging, he quickly fixed a minor problem that we had with a wc. Excellent service.

Fantastic historic home to experience! The owner was great with communication and was very gracious! Location was very convenient to walking near waterfront or exploring the neighborhood of other beautiful homes. Cannot think of a better place for the value.
This was our second stay at this property. We stay because it’s a cool old house with 4 bedrooms that allows dogs bigger than your hand. There are only two of us, but we paid more for a tiny one bedroom farther away from town than this one. We walk to the riverfront every day. The elegant old houses are beautiful and it’s a really nice and pretty short walk. The courtyard is great for the dog, the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you’d need and the tv even has all the paid channels. They also don’t expect you to jump through hoops cleaning everything in the house even though you are paying a cleaning fee. There is a reason for the high rating on this property!

I love to be social. There is never a stranger I won't talk to. I love old houses and old communities like I grew up in. I love the simple pleasures, such as, the water and parks.
Why they chose this property
The property has all the great architecture and beauty of the houses of yesteryear. The whole community is just as nice with trolley and carriage rides right in front of the house. The historic downtown with a view of the river is breathtaking with a view of the sunset. Downtown has a lot of options for those vegetarians and vegans and very hospitable to our four legged friends.
