Carré D Or is a vibrant area of Nice which is in part pedestrianised. You’re one block back from the beach and the famous Negresco hotel. Walk down Rue de France and you’ll experience the plethora of paveside cafés and restaurants and boutique and designer shops. Less than a 5 minute walk and you’ll arrive at Place Masséna across from which you’ll find the maze of picturesque narrow streets know as the Old Town. This is a fantastic central location to enjoy this varied and lively city, literally everything is on your door step.
If arriving on the 98 airport bus your nearest bus stop is 'Congrès/Promenade' outside hotel 'Palais de la Méditerranée' on Promenade des Anglais. Gare SNCF Nice Ville train station is a good 15 minute walk. But you can use the tram. Tram stop 'Masséna' is your closest stop and is a 5 minute walk to/ from the apartment. Taxi rank Hotel Meridien is closest and is opposite McDonald’s at the Hotel Meridien, a 5 minute walk from Your Nice Apartment.
The chic double bedrooms boast flat screen TVs, Air Con and hanging space and drawers for clothes storage, there are stylish bedside shelves and bedside lamps should you wish to curl up with a good book after a hard days sight seeing. The master bedroom leads out onto the balcony area.
(If you wish to use the extra sleeping space provided, then the sofabed in the living room sleeps two. Please note, there is an additional cost for sofabed linen and towels which can be purchased when you book this property)
The contemporary grey and white tiled bathroom has a shower cubicle, sink and vanity unit and on the other side of the room a full bath. The toilet is separate.
The open plan living area is spacious with a comfortable sofa that seats 3 and is a comfortable sofa bed should it be required. There is a 38' flat screen TV situated on the wall with English speaking news channels and an MP3 dock for your music. There is also complimentary WiFi access.
The stylish modern kitchen in the open plan living area has all the mod cons you would expect from a deluxe apartment. There is a fridge/freezer, washing machine/dryer, grill/ oven and a four ring hob. It is fully equipped with a kettle, toaster and a large selection of cooking equipment. There is also a two seater contemporary breakfast bar which is ideal for coffee and croissants in the morning.
There is a stylish glass and steel dining table in the open plan living area with seating for six people. There is a contemporary breakfast bar in the kitchen area which seats two and a table and two chairs on the faux grass of the balcony at the rear of the property.
My husband and I recently stayed here with our 8 year old daughter for 3 weeks. The apartment is very clean, modern, and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is perfect, when you walk out you are on a pedestrian only street with lots of cafes and shops. What pleasantly surprised us was how quiet the apartment was despite being in a lively neighborhood, because it is located on the inside of the building facing a small interior courtyard. It also felt very safe, with multiple locked doors/gates leading up to the apartment. As it is on the first floor and facing interior, it is not a very bright space, but in the end that didn't bother us much. Overall, an excellent apartment, very well managed, and we would highly recommend it.
The place was great and perfect for what we needed it for. I really appreciate the later check out too.
My only tiny comment is that coffee was in the welcome pack but there is no cafetiere to make it with - like i said, a tiny comment but not sure if you are aware.
The apartment is just as per the photos. It has been renovated to a very good standard, is very clean andmodern. My wife, 2 children and myself thoroughly enjoyed staying in this spacious apartment.
The bathroom is also quite large and incorporates a washing machine/dryer which was quite useful to give our beach towels a wash. The kitchen was also very well equipped. There were also some very nice touches from the Your Nice Apartments team, who were very nice to deal with.
The location of the apartment is fantastic. As soon as you walk outside your apartment complex front door, you step onto Rue De France which is a pedestrian only area and the start of side walk cafes, restaurants and shopping. You will thoroughly enjoy being so close to it all. The beach is one block away and is literally a 2 or 3 minute walk. As soon you as you leave your apartment you can see the ocean. The pleasant 15 - 20 min drive from the airport with a cab will cost you approx. $25-$30 euro (by the time you add in cost for luggage).
This is a great apartment, in a great location and reasonably priced. You won't regret staying in this apartment.
We really enjoyed our stay in the apartment. It is situated close to all amenities and the beach is just a stroll away. It really does look like the pictures. Would recommend it to friends who want to visit Nice.
Apartment was clean, but dark. There was no daylight at all. It was quiet.
Our stay was totally amazing; the flat was recently renovated with all the modern features. Well located in central Nice, close to shops, restaurants and beach.
