This property was perfect for us! We were traveling with our two babies and my parents so the 2 homes was ideal. Super comfortable and would extended our stay if the property wasnt already booked. The only negative was there.was an abnormal amount of wasps throughout the day so it was tough to eat outside ( there is no ther central eating area other than the picnic tables outside)...but other than that...gorgeous!
Neat place for double family trip. WiFi did not work. No cell service- but we kinda needed a little if that. 1-1.5 hours to most sequoia stuff.
We had a really great time at this property a couple weekends ago! The two cabins offered plenty of space for our group of 10 to hang out and relax. We made chili and barbecued and the kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils we needed. Highlight of the property might be the spacious and sort of undersold yurt which included an extra futon, a king sized bed, and a big table perfect for hanging out and playing board games (which is just what we did). The location is also only a short drive to the park, and to the local grocery store. Only complaints are that the lights in one of the bathrooms were out during our stay, but that is a pretty minor and easily rectified complaint.
We would definitely rent this property again in the future!
I have rented with VRBO for almost all of my travel....unfortunately not a good review for this property- the house was dirty cob webs in the window sills, the air conditioner has never been cleaned and the filters never changed, the coffee maker had left over coffee grounds with mold growing in it. We had been there for 1 night the second night no hot water for the shower and the stove would not work- call to property mgr and she stated that someone had mentioned 3 hrs prior that they smelled gas- so apparently no one came to check it out and correct the problem, therefore could not cook on the stove that night - mgr offered to move to another property- we declined as it was getting late and our other party was not back yet- so we left the next morning. Mentioned to the mgr that the house was not clean and the above mentioned- hopefully they have cprrected the problems too bad it was my first experience with VRBO that was not good.
I am very sorry that your stay with us was less than adequate, it is never our intention to ruin anyone's vacation. We prefer your memories to be wonderful!
Unfortunately mechanical failures, such as this situation, are completely out of our control.
We do have a very strict policy and do not go to our rental houses unless we have permission from our guests. I did call the house to see if you were smelling any propane but there was no answer on the house phone or on your cell phone. Even though we answer our phone on Sundays, our office is closed with no staff available and response times do take longer. The propane company is also closed on Sundays with no staff available to assist us. This is part of the reason for our lack of "immediate" response to the situation.
I mentioned on the phone that it sounded like we might be out of propane due to a leak. Which ended up being the case in this situation. This explains why there was no hot water or propane to operate the stove.
When you reported the lack of cleanliness concerning the spider webs and the coffee maker, I told you we would definitely take care of it and we have.
I really wish you would have taken into consideration that the mechanical failure of the propane system was a huge factor in the one star review that you have given this house. One star reviews can ruin a homeowners rental location. I would have understood a 3 star review due to the cleanliness issue but to give us a 1 star review due to mechanical failures seems very unfair. We tried to resolve the situation by moving you to a new location. Your group still had three more nights to stay! If you had moved to one of our other locations we could have fixed the situation and made the rest of your visit very enjoyable! My apologies for the troubles during your stay.
Wonderful, funky, spacious, peaceful place with enough room for two families! Beautiful views, lots of wildlife nearby to watch and appreciate. Truely a delightful getaway!
The 2 houses provided plenty of space for our group. The house was a convienient distance from the sequoia park entrance and the stores and restaurants in three rivers. We really enjoyed our time at this house.
