The maison des Tines is a magnificent villa with three bedrooms, one with a balcony and another that leads out directly into the garden (direct access to swimming pool), two bathrooms, sitting room and kitchen - all windows have beautiful views overlooking the surrounding, breathtaking scenery. The garden is a cascade of broad grassy terraces surrounded by forest species and fruit trees and some flowerbeds. One of the terraces houses the swimming pool which has a poolhouse with summer kitchen and refrigerator. Adjacent to the main house is a huge, paved terrace equipped with a plancha (outdoor cooking) table and chairs for outdoor meals throughout the sunny seasons. Although you are just 2 minutes away from the town centre by foot, your privacy is completely assured. No neighbours look out on to the property.
Lodève is a beautiful town located where two rivers merge, surrounded by upland areas such as the Monts d'Orb and the Larzac plateau that drop sharply down to Lodève and then spill into the plains that lead to the Mediterranean sea and the famous vineyards of Languedoc Roussillon. It has a superb cathedral, a prestigious museum and many other interesting and historical sights to be visited. The larger area has some astonishingly diverse and beautiful natural landscapes, and of course, many historical sites.
The countryside in town: quiet, magnificent views, swimming pool, 2 minutes from city centre by foot. In addition to the breathtaking beauty of the spot, with its cascades of trees, flowers and grassy terraces (10 000 square metres), it offers some very attractive features to all of its potential residents: swimming pool and easy access to the town of Lodève with its Mediterranean climate for your young teenagers, quietness and historic interest for adults, as well as the variations in between!
Located close to the Salagou Lake with sailing and other nautical sports facilities, the Mediterranean seaside within easy reach (close to the major and beautiful city of Montpellier, half an hour from Lodève), endless opportunities for hikers with a network of marked paths and trails. Not far from some very diverse and spectacular natural landscapes: Larzac, Mont Aigoual, Monts de l'Orb, Vallée de l'Hérault (canoeing) as well as innumerable historical sites. Walk into town to do your shopping, buy a paper or visit the museum. The house is very well equipped: one bedroom with a queen size bed and balcony, built-in cupboard; another with a queen size bed with large cupboard leading out into the garden straight towards the swimming pool, and a third with 2 smaller beds that can form another queen size one, built-in cupboard. Both floors have a bathroom with toilet. The sitting room also has a door leading outside onto the large, paved terrace, windows on 3 sides. Convenient, well-equipped kitchen. Our swimming pool is a dream: adequate size, breathtaking view but nonetheless completely private, night lighting, summer kitchen and garden furniture.
Imagine coming out on to the terrace with your morning coffee and listening to the birds, or settling down comfortably to read a book. Later, when the sun is more bold, taking a dip: it's magic! Afternoons might opportunities to explore the surroundings by foot, or the entire incredibly diverse area by car. Make your stay memorable
Very comfortable well appointed and equipped property, within a large beautiful garden, but only a short distance from the old town.
The pool is fabulous and in the summer heat is very welcome. Sitting by the pool as the light fades, watching swifts and then bats fly and then swimming at night with pool lights on, wonderful!
Virginia and Claude are very hospitable and helpful owners.
I would highly recommend this property for a holiday rental.
Stunning surroundings, fantastic pool (as good as the photos), very spacious, well equipped villa, superb terrace outside kitchen, thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The village is walkable for shops and restaurants. Great tourist office in Lodeve.
A conseiller
