Perfect Base for Touring the East Side of Crete
Everything at Villa Konstantina was as described, or better! The local tavernas were exceeding friendly and the fare was all delicious. Parking for a Doblo was VERY tight but probably OK for a small car. Best to love cats... there are many semi-wild cats and kittens about! The gardens are lovely and well cared for, as is the swimming pool. We would highly recommend this villa.
Weeks break in Crete
Overall the property is in a good location, slightly off the beaten track around 20-25 minutes from the centre of Chania.
The villa is starting to look slightly tired which at the start of a season may be commented on by other customers. In terms of facilities, everything works however during our stay there were only 2 of us, if the place was accomodating 6 then there would be a shortage of plates/cuttlery etc (example no cereal bowls for childern etc).
That said we had a lovely time, the villa was absolutely fine (we've stayed in a lot across Europe so comments are by comparison) - I would comment on the lady cleaning the villa who was a star and for which nothing was too much trouble!
I'd recommend this villa as a good place to stay, local facilities within a short drive or longer walk, all in god value for the stay.

Great holiday. Couldnt fault cleaner who regularly attended and offered change of towels/bedding etc and Property Management company dealt with power outage within a few hours. Agni Travel were also fantastic helping us resolve wifi issue we experienced.
Very comfortable stay
This villa is actually two houses knocked into one. This meant the three children could have one side with two bedrooms and their own bathroom and balcony and we parents had the other side to ourselves.
We were halfway up a mountain overlooking the bay. I think this is where the 500m from the beach comes from, it's measured vertically. To get to the nearest beach is actually a 15 minute drive but when you get there it's well worth the effort.
There are three restaurants within a short walk of the villa. The one we used was very welcoming, relaxed and good value, it mentions being in the rough guide but then many local restaurants do.
We had a charming maid for whom nothing was too much trouble, the excellent pool was serviced almost every other day usually with no fuss but I was surprised to have three or four people descending on us about 8pm one night to scrub the sides.
We had a check back almost daily to see if everything was alright and this alone, to me justified the fairly high price. Almost everything in Crete is pricey at the moment, their problems being compounded by our weak pound.
All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Everywhere you look you see postcard scenes and sandy beaches most with bars/ice creams and many with free Wifi. When the sun finally gets the better of you, which it will, you can just go 'home'' and have a cold drink overlooking Souda Bay.
If I go to Crete again I will consider Agni Villas for sure..

We had an amazing week at Villa Konstantina and are already looking into booking again next year. The villa was perfect for our family holiday and the people that looked after the villa and pool could not have been more helpful.
The villa is ideally located between Chania and Kalyves, in the pretty village of Megala Chorafia.
Megala Chorafia is a traditional and peaceful hamlet, set on a thyme covered hillside with stunning views across the sea and just a 5 minute drive to the beautiful Kalami beach. The delightful 'platia', offering a few traditional tavernas and kafenions for drinks and snacks is a great place, day and night, to sample local food, wine and culture.
