I would highly recommend this property!

Regine, the owner, is very nice and was more than happy to meet our needs. She greeted us with sparkling cider and cookies, and let us with flowers at check out. None of us some French, but Regine spoke good English and we had no communication issues. The house itself met all of our needs. It was clean, well decorated, and spacious. There was a fantastic market right outside the front door on Sunday. If you want to sleep in Sunday, it might annoy because it was a but loud. There was a great patisserie a few doors down that we had breakfast at daily, and a restaurant (La Marina) that we ate at multiple days because it was so good. There was plenty to walk to around this small town, including a pier. Overall, I can't say enough good things about our stay. There were no negatives.

Wonderful stay - would highly recommend!!

We had such a lovely time in Philippe & Regine's charming home! It is very clean, spacious and tastefully decorated. It is possible that the pictures do not do justice to the space, charm and the quality that you will find in this home. The kitchen has absolutely everything you will need to cook your own meals, if you should so choose. We enjoyed the outside deck for our breakfasts and happy hours. We found the washer and dryer very handy. There are also bikes for your use. There is a binder of information in the home, including maps, info for the house, and recommendations for sightseeing. We stayed for 3 days but now, in retrospect, we should have planned to stay longer as this home and Port-en-Bessin, itself, is the perfect place from which to visit many of the D-Day beaches, war memorial sites, Bayeux, and Arrogances, Caen, and Mont St. Michel. Port-En-Bessin has a number of quality restaurants also, which are just a few steps away from the doors of this home. The port activities, which can be observed from the front windows of this home, are another bonus of this home's location. I would highly recommend this home to others.

Quality accommodation, beautifully furnished and more spacious than suggested by the pictures.

We had a lovely 5 nights at this property. The owner, Regine, was delightful and very helpful, and the house was spacious, well decorated and with quality fittings. It is in an excellent location on the Harbour front and with all the local restaurants and food shops within walking distance. The garage provides safe off street parking.

We loved it and would and hope to return. Everything was perfect and so well supplied. The location is beautiful. We loved overlooking the fishing boats. It was so peaceful. Access to the D-Day beaches was easy and close.

Lovely property unlike the owners

This is a lovely house, well positioned, well equipped and comfortable. Unfortunately the owner (who never actually managed to meet us) was very aggressive accusing us of not paying taxes (which we had), breaking a window (which we did not - it was okay when we left) and not paying an additional €50 cleaning charge (which was not requested when we were checked out by their representative) as the house was left in a good condition. This house was relatively expensive and would have been good value if the owner could develop their tourism skills. We will not go back and suggest future guests are prepared to cope with the aggressive owners

Owner's Response: Regadless, we do appeciate your positive comments on the house, do apologieze for the possible misunderstanding due to our rudimentary english. We did make efforts to try to speak your language and it is perhaps different. Our cousin who didn't speak english and she did refund deposit before checking the house because it was the first time. We are relieved you will not try to come back . We try to answer more well is possible to keep the house in a good conditions and places have suffered no damage and are delivered by state. We will require It is as when you enter. It is a priority to welcome the lenders. We can't see the house as an hotel. But we accept all the notes and it is possible to progress and to be better.Best regards.

Beautifully decorated house right on the quayside in Port Bessin.

We stayed 6 nights here. The little town is great as you can walk or ride the bikes everywhere for your shopping. Brilliant centre for walking and exploring the landing beaches. The Sunday market was fantastic- literally right outside the front door. The house has everything you need. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen well supplied with everything for eating in. The little terrace is sheltered for eating lunch and supper and catches a few hours sun during the middle of the day. The bbq was a great bonus too, as were the bikes and the ping pong table. We enjoyed our stay here very much. Just be aware though that this is a busy working fishing port so some of the large trawlers are coming and going 24 hours.
