The Albany Self catering Apartments are based in its own grounds where guests enjoy quiet surroundings in a relaxing garden with a heated outdoor pool (seasonal- May to September). The setting and location of The Albany (a 10 minute walk from the main town of St. Peter Port) has proved extremely popular with families over the years. Ample Parking, indoor and outdoor games for the children including a climbing frame/swing and a summer house, and attention to customer service make The Albany an ideal choice for families, couples, and business visitors to Guernsey.

A bus stop is situated around the corner from the Albany Self catering Apartments providing you with the opportunity to take advantage of the excellent bus routes that cover the full extent of the island of Guernsey.

For those of you bringing your own car or wishing to hire a car you are also provided with a map covering Guernsey showing various places of interest. What could be easier, travel by air or sea with Condor Ferries?

Another form of transport especially popular with our Dutch guests visiting Guernsey is Bicycle Hire, giving you the opportunity to take in the excellent Guernsey scenery at your own leisure.

The Self Catering Apartments

The Accommodation consists of one or two-bed apartments, either on one-floor or split over two levels; single floor apartments are on the ground level and lead straight out to the garden and pool, whereas the split-level apartments have their own balconies.

There are Themed apartments -plus one bedroom apartments.

Each two- bedroom apartment usually has one twin room and one double or king size room.

All kitchens come fully equipped and the lounge areas are of substantial size, easily accommodating today's expanding families.

Additional Information

A Deposit is required at the time of booking, on receipt of the deposit the reservation will be confirmed, with the balance due 8 weeks before arrival

If you need to cancel or change your reservation, be sure to let us know as soon as possible. Your deposit may be refunded 6 weeks (42 days) prior to your stay. The deposit is non-refundable 41 days to the arrival date.

Our Check- in time is 2 pm, If you are arriving earlier, we are happy for you to book in and leave your luggage with us (we have a reception area.) Our Check out is no later than 10 am, this allows us to prepare for the incoming guests, Luggage can be left with us for those departing the island later on in the day.

Enjoyable stay

All in good order with good facilities including a chlorine free pool. Would have liked to have had a dishwasher. Convenient location for the centre of St. Peter Port. If you don't enjoy the uphill walk back, there is a bus service available from the centre.

A very happy family

Our stay at Albany Apartments was excellent. The accommodation was well presented, very clean and spacious, as well as being well-appointed to travel about the Island and access the ferry port.

The play area and pool were super and we all enjoyed our time at the apartment, as well as there being so many places of interest and things to do on the island.

The trips to the other islands were marvellous and we were also blessed with great weather.

As a family, we were all totally taken with Guernsey and were happy and very comfortable in the accommodation provided.

If I had any criticism at all it would be that there was no dishwasher... but this was not a huge problem.

We would definitely go back to Albany Apartments.

Although Guernsey is geographically much closer to France than the UK, it is loyal to the British crown. This loyalty can be traced back to Norman times when the Channel Islands first became part of the English realm and forms the basis of the island's constitution.

Today the island is self-governing and enjoys the same level of independence it has had since first becoming associated with England.

Guernsey's ability to look after its own fiscal affairs has meant that it has been able to foster a favorable tax climate. This has led to many offshore banks, fund managers and insurance companies establishing here. Whilst the traditional industries of flower growing, fishing and dairy farming still play an important part, contributing both to the varied economy and to the island's character. There are also a number of high profile light industries based on the island, including Spec savers Optical Group and Health span.

Guernsey also has its own stamps and currency, and while British pounds can be used on the island, Guernsey pounds cannot be used in the UK.

Guernsey people enjoy their free time. Being an island, with a warmer climate than the UK, much time is spent outside; on the beach, walking the cliffs, island hopping or eating AL fresco. The Island has great sporting facilities and a programme of events throughout the year.


Guernsey is part of the southernmost archipelago in the British Isles sitting in the Bay of St Malo, a little less than 30 miles from the French coast.

As a result Guernsey has a milder climate then the UK and enjoys more sunshine hours each year. This allows for an outdoor-based lifestyle that makes maximum use of the natural surroundings. It also means that a number of plants and flowers, that couldn't survive in Britain, are able to thrive in Guernsey. The Island rarely sees frost and snow is somewhat of a rarity.
