About Marsha Hoecker
When our son offered to sell us this house and a couple acres of land cut from the larger piece he intended to build on, we jumped at the chance. We were in our 50s and, having always lived in church owned housing, didn't have anywhere to eventually retire. Henry grew up in the Midwest but moved to Maine for his senior year in high school and Marsha was a Navy child, spending her early childhood in the south and in Japan and then settling in New England as a teenager. Marsha raised her family in VT and married Henry a couple years before going off to Episcopal Seminary. We have lived in Massachusetts, Vermont , and Connecticut and are now back in MA. Our plan is to retire to our wonderful little house in 2020.
Marsha Hoecker purchased this House in 2005
Why Marsha Hoecker chose Rockland
We love the view down to the ocean from the bedroom window, and the way the rising sun wakes us in the morning. The house is filled with light on a sunny day and in the winter it's wonderful passive solar heat. We love the access to walking trails, and to so many things up and down midcoast Maine.
No smoking in the house. No pets on the furniture.

Nice weekend stay
We had a wonderful stay. It's a great little house and convieintly located to town. I would stay here again.
Beautiful rural area , we enjoyed the house and lobster experience we loved the house and Maine
Ocean view 2 bedrooms 2 bathes the house was well stocked, we really enjoyed the kitchen . We had a wonderful time.
Very peaceful wish we could stay for the week!
Great experience overall, has everything you would need, some great restaurants to try out, my suggestion to people staying that dont like sleeping when it's hot, bring a box fan and put it in the sliders in the master bathroom/bedroom. Sounds strange but trust me it cooled the upstairs right down and it was very comfortable!
Great location, comfortable stay
No complaints about this lovely house. Interesting layout, had everything we needed and more. 7 min drive to downtown Rockland where there are excellent restaurants. We hope to be back again. Some people drive fast on the road so be extra careful pulling out of the driveway. Gorgeous back yard too!
Very nice house and location. House was quite warm but the AC unit in the kitchen was helpful.
