A spacious and beautifully appointed bright, airy, contemporary detached house situated directly opposite parklands, within 30 minutes of the center of London.

This gorgeous home is finished and furnished to a very high standard with big bedrooms, around 2,000 square feet (200 sq m) of internal space and a fantastic 180' (55m) rear garden for you to enjoy.

Why pay £200+ per night for a room in a nearby hotel when you can have this amazing home to yourselves for far less per person?!

As soon as you walk in you'll love how big, bright, airy and warm the home feels. 20mm solid oak floors, lots of windows and natural stone surfaces lend the place a feeling of solidity and calm.

The ground floor features an entrance area that leads into the huge, light-filled through-lounge and dining area that looks out onto the rear garden. There's a fantastic 55-inch Samsung LED TV with Freeview HD and a huge couch in the lounge. The lounge-dining area opens up to a further cosy sitting room overlooking the parkland's entrance. This sitting room has wooden bifold doors that means it can be completely separated from the dining area and main lounge.

The large gourmet kitchen-breakfast room has underfloor heating, a walk-in pantry, solid granite work surfaces and European appliances including an induction hob.

Completing the downstairs area is a 'second master' bedroom complete with king bed, ensuite and fitted wardrobes. There's also a separate downstairs WC.

When you follow the custom-built open-tread staircase upstairs you'll come to three large bedrooms and the family shower-room.

- The Master Bedroom: this gorgeous room overlooks the garden and comes with a tremendous super king bed, its own very spacious dressing area with fitted wardrobes on both sides, air-conditioning and a luxurious ensuite with underfloor heating, twin stone vanities, double shower-head shower and a massive granite-topped bath perfect for relaxing soaks (!)

- Bedroom 2: this is a second very spacious bedroom with a king bed, storage and hanging space and gorgeous views out over the rear gardens

- Bedroom 3: a spacious double bedroom with storage and hanging space.

All beds in the home - including the sofa bed - have luxurious 400 thread count 100% Egyptian cotton bed linen and there are even some Mulberry silk pillows for those of you who want to go that extra step on your quest for out-and-out bliss :-)

The beautifully appointed family shower room comes with travertine tiles throughout and underfloor heating.

You'll love your stay here. It's'a little oasis of calm with a wonderful feel to the place and yet you're only 30-minutes' train ride away from all the action in the heart of London so you can have the best of both worlds.

Because it has its own fantastic garden whilst being right opposite parklands and within very easy (walkable) reach of other outdoor spaces, you'll feel like your in some grand parkland setting. Which you are :-)

About The Owner

Hi there.

I was born in New Zealand, schooled in Wales and then went to uni in the Midlands before traveling a bit (OK, quite a lot!) and then getting stuck into work, living in London for 25+ years. I've moved away from London these days but still visit fairly often.

As a keen outdoors enthusiast and proud father of a very active 7-year old, being outside and active is part of good living - part of the reason I bought this property is because I loved the easy access to the park straight across the road. I literally would get home from work, stick on the running gear and dash through the gate into the park for a head-cleansing run!

Along with millions of others, I love the classic combo of good company, good food, good music and a decent wine.

The Owner purchased this house in 1996

Why The Owner chose Barnet

Loved the feeling of space and calm that the place had - and still has. Big garden at the back, open green spaces to the front and a nice, light, airy interior all make you feel like you've got space, and privacy.

Hadley Wood has a cute village-like feel whilst still having easy access to shops, parks and a 30-minute train/tube ride into the heart of London.
