Great Cottage in Perfect Chipping Campden Location
My wife and I spent a long weekend in Chipping Campden. Twine Cottage was just what we were looking for to enjoy a quiet stay. Location is ideal within an easy stroll to High Street with plenty of eating options, sites, etc.....recommend the quaint 'cut-through' behind the spa a few doors down the street to pop out right in the middle of town. Nice walking trails, we spent a morning hiking over to Broad Campden. Perfect home-base for short drives in the area to see other Codswolds towns and sites. Cottage is quaint, well equipped and very quiet. If you're tall, you will have to watch your head near a few doorways, but it's part of the charm! Bedroom and bathroom were clean and served us well for a 3-night stay. Wish the weather would have been a bit nicer, we'd have used the small garden to have coffee in the morning....maybe next time! We'll definitely stay again in the future.
Thank you Ed and Lisa and so glad you enjoyed your stay - next time you come back ,I hope the weather will be better!
Perfect Cotswold cottage
Wonderful long weekend in this cosy, clean and charming little cottage . The best of locations to either enjoy the delights of beautiful Chipping Campden on your doorstep ( a few minutes walk from the cottage ) or venture out to explore so many lovely places in the area. Great walks, fantastic choice of eating and drinking places, couldn’t have asked for better. It’s a compact cottsge that comfortably accommodated 2 slightly taller than average adults and 2 smaller than average dogs and is well equipped. It’s in a charming, quiet lane yet not at all isolated and it struck me as a great place to also retreat as a single traveller as again the perfect size and location.
Beautiful cottage, in a lovely peaceful location
My husband and I stayed at Twine cottage for 3 nights for his 40th birthday. We found it very easily using the directions from the owner, and it was lovely to arrive and be greeted with Christmas decorations!
The cottage is incredibly homely, comfortable and in a great location in the village. We really enjoyed our stay and absolutely intend to come back in future for another relaxing weekend.
Thank you so much Rosie!

Beautiful cottage close to the village centre.
Really lovely place, central to the Cotswolds. Warm and cosy in the evenings.
WONDERFUL! Look no further!
This cottage is absolutely lovely! My husband and I stayed for two weeks and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The bed is super comfortable, and the kitchen was perfectly stocked for all our needs, with lovely bright windows overlooking the courtyard garden. The location is central to every place you would want to visit in the Cotswolds, and even to Stonehenge from here! Quiet back lane, historical town with so much beautiful architecture, pubs, restaurants and even handy grocery stores for anything you might need for your stay. You will not be disappointed if you stay here, Rosie is a wonderful owner, friendly and extremely helpful and much information shared in the cottage to help you decide on places you would like to visit. The trails, Cotswold Way is right here and the views if you climb to Dovers Hill are incredible over the Vale of Evesham. We are definitely coming back again. Thank you Rosie for everything - we LOVE LOVE LOVE Twine Cottage!
Thank you Michele for your lovely review and for coming back to stay at Twine Cottage for a second time. Hope that you will return again soon.
The Cotswolds is charming all year round and visiting the Cotswolds is a wonderful experience. Officially the largest Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in England, it isn’t hard to understand why the Cotswolds is known and loved by the English and foreign travellers alike.
Many come to the Cotswolds for the wonderful country walks, cycling along the highways and byways, exploring the wonderfully unique boutiques, each charming town and village have to offer and relaxing with a fabulous cream tea or sitting in front of an open fire at the end of the day.
Spring is a wonderful time to see the lambs and bluebell woods. The many unique Cotswold Cottage Gardens and country houses are a great way to enjoy the lighter summer evenings, whereas Westonbirt and Batsford Arboretum comes alive with its vast array of stunning leaf displays in autumn. And the Christmas markets are a wonderful way to start the festive season. Really, the Cotswolds has something for everyone of all ages and all tastes.
Twine Cottage is also within easy access to other quaint Cotswold villages such as Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton on the Water and Broadway and National Trust properties of Hidcote and Snowshill Manor and the larger towns of Stratford Upon Avon, Morton in Marsh and Cheltenham.
For walkers, the Cotswold Way starts in Chipping Campden.
