Exclusive, luxurious, sunny apartment (135 m2) in the centre of Barcelona, which has just been fully refurbished. Comfortable for groups of up to 6 guests, with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, large living room and kitchen, and a sunny terrace.

The apartment is located on Avinguda Diagonal 405, between Balmes and Rambla de Catalunya, just a few minutes away from Passeig de Gracia - where some of the most emblematic Modernist architectural works, such as Gaudi's Casa Milà (“La Pedrera”) and Casa Batlló, can be found. The neighbourhood is lively, offering a great choice of of restaurants and bars covering an extensive range of cuisine styles and prices, shops and entertainment.

Many of the best BCN Restaurants are within walking distance: Lasarte 2*, Moments 2*, Roca Moo 1*, Cinc Sentits 1*, Gaig 1*, Hisop 1*, Angle 1*, Loidi, Fermí Puig, Windsor, Galaxó, Petit Comité, Murmuri, Roig Robí, Alma, The Mirror...(Stars given according Michelin Guide)

It provides a perfect base to visit and explore the city, ideally connected with buses stopping right in front of the building (including Barcelona City Tours buses) and an underground station (Metro Diagonal) a 5-minute walk away. Metro Diagonal station is two stops away from Pl. Catalunya (the top end of Les Rambles, marking the start of the old city quarter), three stops away from Liceu (the stop for Opera House and for the popular food market of La Boqueria), four stops away from Drassanes (the bottom end of Les Rambles, next to the sea), and seven stops (14 minutes) to Plaça Espanya (where the Fira de Barcelona, the main venue for fairs and congresses of the city, is located, at the base of Montjuïc).

The apartment is part of a listed building named “Casa Eduardo Puig” (after the Spanish tycoon that build it for him and his family in the beginning of the 20th century; Mr Puig occupied the first floor, and his children the remaining five floors). The apartment we are offering is located on the 4rth floor, overlooking the neighbourhood; we also have a 65m2, one-bedroom apartment on the first floor of same building available for rental. The whole building was renovated around the year 2000, when it was converted to a luxury apartment block, and features a spacious entrance hall with the original old-fashioned lift (which has been restored), complemented with a modern, high-capacity, faster lift. There is a concierge in the building Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00, who can collect any deliveries while you are away.

Mandatory Non-smoking indoors (smokers may use the terrace provided that they close the terrace doors behind to prevent the smoke from entering the flat).

No pets allowed (in consideration to potential customers with allergies).

Very spacious and comfortable apartment in the heart of Barcelona.

My wife, two kids (ages 12 & 16) and I spent several peaceful and quiet days and nights in Eduardo's apartment. The location is ideal for anyone interested in seeing the city center of Barcelona. The bathrooms are modern and very pleasant. The balcony and sun-room make the apartment feel even larger.Given that Avinguda Diagonal is one of the busiest streets in the city, the quietness of the apartment is surprising.

Walking distance to Guadi's famous apartment building and many other attractions. Sadly, my cell phone was pick-pocketed at Font Magica (Magic Fountain) but that was in no way due to the apartment. The kitchen is a bit small but we managed to make full use of it and the washer and dryer. I would point out that the front door of the apartment--not the building itself--needs a minor repair to the lock assembly and that one of the chairs in the sun-room had lost a screw but otherwise things were fine. I used the Chromecast feature of the big flat screen TV to watch English language shows on YouTube.

Excellent Location and Lovely Property

This location was perfect for our stay in Barcelona! The Metro is just a few blocks away and there were many options for dining and shopping. I enjoyed having some outdoor space in the evenings and the central air conditioning was fantastic for cooling down and relaxing. The photos do not do justice to the amount of space and two full-baths was just fantastic! I will be in touch when I return to Barcelona.

Spacious and Comfortable Apartment in Great Location

We rented the apartment for a 9 night stay with our adult children and son-in-law. We loved the large living room which had plenty of seating for everyone and the open dining area which seated six. The balcony was also nice and was accessible from the master bedroom and dining area. The kitchen was well equipped and we actually cooked dinner for the five of us. The washer and dryer were also handy to have. The quality of the apartment, furnishings and bathrooms was excellent. The beds were very comfortable to sleep in and the apartment was quiet. Everything was very clean as well. We liked that we were not in a typical tourist area and that we could dine at local restaurants, yet we were close to transit, the Block of Discord and great restaurants and bars. Ed arranged a taxi from and to the airport and was readily available when we had a problem with a switched breaker. He also greeted us at the apartment and let us in early since we arrived in the morning. He told us about the area and recommended restaurants. I will choose this apartment again if I visit Barcelona with my family!

We wish our stay was longer!

We had a terrific first VRBO experience! We were thankful for great communication from the owner, who arranged transport from the airport and met with us at arrival to give us the keys and introduce the space. Eduardo and his lovely daughter were helpful with our questions about the area, suggesting restaurants, etc. The apartment was very clean and functional. Our favorite space was the roomy common area, sunroom and balcony. We were only there one night, (flew from the states to board a cruise ship the next day) but the kitchen and laundry were well equipped for a longer stay. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast at the nearby Farga restaurant, and loved the easy walk to attractions. We would highly recommend this property to our friends and family - and hope to return ourselves one day!

Perfect location for dinning, transit and shopping

Eduardo was both a pleasant and accommodating host. My friend and I arrived in Barcelona early in the morning after a long overnight flight. We were tired and glad we had arranged with Eduardo to be picked up at the airport. Eduardo met us at the apartment to allow us to drop off our bags as our actual check in time was still hours away. We had a quick apartment tour and he graciously spent time showing us on a map where we could walk to pick up groceries or fresh bread or visit local restaurants and access the Metro. Perhaps we looked exhausted but since we had two more hours to wait for the other two members of our party to arrive Eduardo indicated we could stay -as long as we didn't get in the way of the cleaners. We happily agreed and continued to enjoy Eduardo's company and conversation a little longer before he left. I believe that our first visit to Barcelona was greatly enhanced by the luck of finding this lovely apartment in such a beautiful neighborhood. We women felt safe walking along the streets, sometimes coming back to the apartment late. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen well equipped and having a washer and dryer was handy. Everything was clean and well maintained. Yes, you can hear the slight rumble of the underground subway at times but it was never intrusive enough to keep us awake. I would highly recommend Eduardo's apartment to my friends and family and would stay there again.
