Exclusive, luxurious, sunny apartment (135 m2) in the centre of Barcelona, which has just been fully refurbished. Comfortable for groups of up to 6 guests, with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, large living room and kitchen, and a sunny terrace.

The apartment is located on Avinguda Diagonal 405, between Balmes and Rambla de Catalunya, just a few minutes away from Passeig de Gracia - where some of the most emblematic Modernist architectural works, such as Gaudi's Casa Milà (“La Pedrera”) and Casa Batlló, can be found. The neighbourhood is lively, offering a great choice of of restaurants and bars covering an extensive range of cuisine styles and prices, shops and entertainment.

Many of the best BCN Restaurants are within walking distance: Lasarte 2*, Moments 2*, Roca Moo 1*, Cinc Sentits 1*, Gaig 1*, Hisop 1*, Angle 1*, Loidi, Fermí Puig, Windsor, Galaxó, Petit Comité, Murmuri, Roig Robí, Alma, The Mirror...(Stars given according Michelin Guide)

It provides a perfect base to visit and explore the city, ideally connected with buses stopping right in front of the building (including Barcelona City Tours buses) and an underground station (Metro Diagonal) a 5-minute walk away. Metro Diagonal station is two stops away from Pl. Catalunya (the top end of Les Rambles, marking the start of the old city quarter), three stops away from Liceu (the stop for Opera House and for the popular food market of La Boqueria), four stops away from Drassanes (the bottom end of Les Rambles, next to the sea), and seven stops (14 minutes) to Plaça Espanya (where the Fira de Barcelona, the main venue for fairs and congresses of the city, is located, at the base of Montjuïc).

The apartment is part of a listed building named “Casa Eduardo Puig” (after the Spanish tycoon that build it for him and his family in the beginning of the 20th century; Mr Puig occupied the first floor, and his children the remaining five floors). The apartment we are offering is located on the 4rth floor, overlooking the neighbourhood; we also have a 65m2, one-bedroom apartment on the first floor of same building available for rental. The whole building was renovated around the year 2000, when it was converted to a luxury apartment block, and features a spacious entrance hall with the original old-fashioned lift (which has been restored), complemented with a modern, high-capacity, faster lift. There is a concierge in the building Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00, who can collect any deliveries while you are away.

Mandatory Non-smoking indoors (smokers may use the terrace provided that they close the terrace doors behind to prevent the smoke from entering the flat).

No pets allowed (in consideration to potential customers with allergies).

Everything we expected and more

When you enter this property there are no surprises. What you see in the pictures and what is described in the ad are what you see and get. This was our first trip to Barcelona and because of this we were a little anxious about getting from the airport to the condo. Eduardo, our host, made all the arrangements with a first class limo company. The driver met us at the airport right on time and in the location where we were told to meet. He was very pleasant and a good ambassador for his city. When we arrived at the condo, Eduardo was standing on the sidewalk to welcome us and assist us to the apartment. He took the time to walk us through the condo, explaining how everything worked. He showed us a map and where we were located and what was close by and the easiest way to get to places of interest. At the end of our stay he arranged for transportation to the port as we were going on a cruise. Once again the driver arrived on time and was quick to assist us with our luggage. On the way to the port Eduardo, telephoned the driver to make sure that he had picked us up at the arranged time and then he took the time to thank us for choosing his property and wish our well. If you are going to Barcelona and what a central location pick this property. I know that if we go back to Barcelona we will stay at this property again.

Lovely Apartment

This is a lovely spacious apartment in a great location with lots of shops and restaurants on your doorstep. Eduardo the owner arranged a taxi transfer for us and met us at the apartment to explain everything and answer any questions. Twenty minutes walk to Sagrada Familia and we even walked back from Parc Guell which took about forty minutes with two children.

The second and third bedrooms are very small and quite dark as they look out onto external walls, however one of them was quite bright at night as the light from all the corridor windows in the building shone into it and the blind was insufficient to stop this.

My only real issue was that it was quite a noisy apartment, I think it must have been from the underground trains but it seemed like the building vibrated every five minutes, and it was particularly bad in one of the smaller bedrooms.

Overall a good stay and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it or stay again.

Excellent Apartment in great location

The place was exactly how it was described in words and in pictures. Very spacious master bedroom and living/dining room areas. The 2 other bedrooms were small but functional. The bathrooms were very modern and seem to have been updated very recently. It was great having a washer/dryer in the unit to save us on packing clothing. Finally, the area where the apartment resided (Eixample district) was great for shopping, groceries, and tons of places to eat. There was a grocery store 2 blocks away, a 24 hour convenience store 1 block away, and probably over 50 cafes/restaurants/bars within a 5 block radius. It was very easy to fold into the Barcelona lifestyle (from an eating standpoint) to have so many options. The area was very modern and very safe. We felt fine with the two adults and 13 and 9 year old kids at any time of day or night walking around.

Finally, Ed the host was fantastic. He arranged for a car service to pick us up from the airport, showed us how everything worked in the unit, and gave us great tips on places to go (grocery store, bakeries, convenience stores, in addition to attractions to see and how to get there. I could not recommend this apartment or the host Ed any more - would love to come back to Barcelona and stay here again!

Great place to stay in Barcelona. Just as pictured and described.

We loved this three bedroom two bath apartment. The apartment was spacious, very clean and comfortable. It was in a lovely old building but the apartment itself was very contemporary with a fully equipped kitchen and two nice bathrooms with walk-in showers. Great for a family with 2-4 kids as two of the bedrooms have twin beds. The living room is very large and bright so there is plenty of room for 4-6 people. The apartment is on the 5th floor but there are two elevators. The apartment also has a washer and dryer which was very handy. Everything worked well. Eduardo, the owner arranged a taxi to and from the airport and they were waiting for us both times. Eduardo met us at the apartment and went through everything. He was very helpful in pointing out grocery stores and transit and even gave us ideas for sight seeing. He also happily accomodated and early arrival and late departure.

We loved the Eixample neighborhood and while Diagonal is a very busy street, the apartment was very quiet. There are lots of great shops and restaurants within blocks and all the key tourist sites are easy to get to. The neighborhood the apartment is full of great architecture with some of Gaudi's most famous work is just blocks away. The Sagrada Familia is a 15 minute walk. Even the Gotic district and Ramblas are walkable.

Highly recommended. We would stay there again.

The property was just as described. PERFECT!

The Owner was outstanding in his helpfulness. He arranged drivers to and from the airport. The Apartment was located in a very convenient area with access to the subway and by short walk to Segrada Familia and La Rambla. The Apartment was very clean, comfortable, practical and quiet. My family of 5 would stay there again. The wifi was very nice to have available. The single biggest factor in getting this apartment is the owner! I cannot say enough about his helpfulness.

Séjour Barcelone

Très bon emplacement pour découvrir et visiter Barcelone. Au coeur de la ville tout se fait à pied ou en métro très facilement. Accueil très chaleureux du propriétaire Eduardo Salsa, disponible et tres arrangeant. Merci a lui pour ses indications précises et précieuses. Appartement propre et confortable, bien équipé.
