This is a charming water access seasonal cottage ( May-October, boat access only from marina, you cannot drive here, no boat provided, bring own or use water taxi from marina) located in the middle of beautiful Canadian Shield landscape. It is located near the end of West Bay on gorgeous Lake Weslemkoon and faces west so you can enjoy truly spectacular sunsets from the deck. The property is quite private, with the Owners own cottage next door but not visible and a quiet family cottage on the other side of a small bay. This is a boat-in wilderness cottage built in the 1970's by the previous owner with natural forest and wonderful deep lake swimming from the dock. Best for a couple or small family. Children are welcome and our kids love it but it may not be suitable for very small children. Well behaved pets are also most welcome. Parking and a water taxi service are available for additional fees through Weslemkoon Marina. The rear of the property backs onto great hiking trails to uninhabited lakes. Enjoy the rustic charm of a traditional cottage with a beautiful pine interior where selective updates have been done in keeping with the spirit of old school cottaging. There is a large new deck overlooking the lake and a cozy wood stove for chilly evenings. There is a small bathroom with a sink, toilet and a shower (with hot water). The original kitchen is in place with expanded counters and a new refrigerator but no dishwasher. The large lake and open bay out front are great for water sports. There is a TV for movies, traditional board games and lots of books for reading. There are 3 bedrooms, one with a double brass bed, and 2 other en suite bedrooms that are connected and open to each other - one with a single twin bed and one with 2 twin beds. There is a large swim dock with great deep water swimming (but may not be suitable for very small children) and a small dock suitable for mooring of a boat if you want bring your own. Of course the autumns are beautiful with great colours and few bugs! Please also note that the cottage is self-catering with guests responsible for cleaning.
