Masia de las Viñas is the best of the best. It is very hard to find so much luxury and comfort in a holiday house for just 6 people. The holiday home has control of everything, and with a great location it is very easy to have a wonderful holiday. Here is everything from a 16m swimming pool, spa and playground to a fully equipped kitchen, a sitting area with large flat screen TV and a hydromassage bath.
In the holiday home, there is room for 6 people. There are 3 additional beds (+ a baby bed).
The garden area is quite fantastic. The 16m long swimming pool is located centrally, and with its unique construction, it will satisfy the whole family: The first 4m is a shallow wading pool for the small ones in the holiday group. The other end is an 8 m long and deeper pool for the grownups. In this end, there is a sort of waterfall. Furthermore, the pool is fenced, which is a great relief as you do not have to keep an eye on the youngest children all the time. The pool is a great place when relaxing or cooling down during the warm Catalan days, and as it that was not enough, there is also a spa / hot tub next to the pool. From here, there is spectacular view of the surrounding wine-, olive- and almond fields.
On the other side of the pool, there is a playground with swings and a playhouse with a slide, and by the end, there is a covered terrace. Here you can enjoy a homemade dinner in the beautiful surroundings or just relax on the sun loungers.
In the garden, there is also a grass-area with badminton and table tennis, and there are many opportunities for running and hiking in the surrounding area. It is not possible to exercise in prettier surroundings than these.
Between the house and the swimming pool, there is a nice courtyard, where you can prepare food at the BBQ grill and the small outdoor kitchen. The homemade food can then be enjoyed at the dining table in the yard, and if you need a trip to the bathroom, there is also a toilet in the yard: There has really thought of everything, which is a characteristic for the holiday house.
Connected to the aforementioned courtyard, there is a large living room that serves as the center of the house. Along with a beautiful and a modern design, there is everything you need here: There is a well equipped, open kitchen with all necessary tools and machines. This is connected with the dining area. The room ends up in a cozy sitting area with a flat screen television.
With high ceilings, classic stone walls and the bright lighting, this room is a perfect meeting point, where the whole holiday group can be together at the same time.
In Masia de las Viñas, there are 3 double rooms: All of them have its own flat screen TV. They also have separate air conditioning in every room, so you can determine the climate in your own bedroom, which certainly is something you will appreciate in the summer heat.
There is a 'master bedroom' with a 180 cm double bed and large en suite bathroom, where there is a shower with 'hydro massage' and a bath tub with 'color therapy' - here you can change the color of the bath tub. There are also two other bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other one with two single beds. They share a very modern and extremely comfortable bathroom with many details.
From the garden you can see the end of the very small, authentic village, located within walking distance of the apartment. Here, there are a few nice restaurants
In the house there is also WiFi.
Masia de las Viñas is a dream house for guests who want to stay comfortable and luxurious.

The localization of the villa on HomeAway is incorrect (El Violsell and not Vimbodi) but the documentation about the region send by Lisbeth and Bertel was very helpful. The reception by Gemma and her husband was very friendly. The villa was wonderful with everything you need. A little pity that we mostly stayed outside but the patio and the pool were too nice with the warm weather. It was so delightful to end up in the jacuzzi every evening. Also amazing how this beautiful region remained so unspoiled by tourists. Beware of a visit to the local winery "Thomas Cusine" because the wine is not to resist: we bought a lot of bottles that we had to cram in the car, almost requiring to leave behind a child instead... Thanks a lot to Gemma and her husband for this wonderful experience, a Spain different from the Costa's.
Description of the region:
With its 130.000 inhabitants is Tarragona the smallest of Catalonia's four province capitols, but with its situation on the beautiful Costa Daurada, the historical town centre and the landmark the roman amphi-theatre, the city has a lot to offer.
In the roman time, the town was called Tarraco and was province capitol of Hispania Tarraconensis.
From the artistic point of view, there are not many places that have such a large number of monuments and tourist attractions concentrated in such a small area as Tarragona has. Iberian civilization remains are plentiful in the whole region, as well as multiple Roman vestiges, especially in Tarragona city, where you can follow the traces of Rome in the Catalonian region.
The splendorous past of the city is enclosed in its several well preserved edifices. Its most notable landmarks and tourist attractions are the Roman Amphitheatre in Tarragona and the Cistercian monastery in Poblet, as well as many other places of interest within the capital city, just to mention some examples. Reus, home town of the internationally famous Gaudí, is nowadays a centre for Modernism architecture, a kind of art also to be found in many wine cellars through the whole Tarragona province.
The International Dixieland Festival takes place every year just before Easter. In the first week of July, is held in the bay Punta del Miracle a firework competition between six invited pyrotechnics. In the middle of September, the Santa Tecla Festival takes place, one of the biggest traditional Spanish festivals.
The Costa Daurada shoreline is comprised of a total of 13 municipalities, which, over a stretch of 92 kilometres, offer some sixty different beaches in all shapes and sizes from the small, secluded coves of Mont-roig del Camp-Miami Platja to the dramatic cliffs of Torredembarra, from the high-iodine waters of El Vendrell-Coma-ruga to the fine sand and clear shallows of Salou. There are even nudist beaches, such as Torn Beach in Hospitalet de l'Infant.
Several Costa Daurada beaches have been awarded the blue flag by the European Foundation for Environmental Education, in addition to other distinctions, such as that earned by Creixell from the same organisation for its wheelchair-accessible beach or the Ecoplayas Award for clean and sustainable beaches and ISO 14001 environmental management system certification earned by the beaches of Calafell. The towns of Calafell, Salou and Cambrils have moreover been officially certified as family tourism destinations by the Catalan government.
Universal studios Port Aventura
The areas main attraction is the entertainment park Universal Studios Port Aventura. It consists of an aqua park and an amusement park, which can be visited together or separately. If you let the kids decide, you can easily spend 2-3 days here.
