Venciana is located on an isolated hill, in an area to the south of the Chianti territory, between Arezzo and Siena (both less than half an hour away by car), in a typical landscape covered by jumbled woods and rows of olive trees. It was originally a farmhouse and still reflects the original separation of the areas that were once used as the dwelling (top floor) and the farm shed (ground floor); careful renovation has transformed it into an attractive country home with stone exterior and rustic interior, with exposed beams and terracotta floors. Surrounded by a large, well-kept garden with a rich assortment of plants, fruit trees and flowers, stretching to the green hills around it, it is the perfect place for guests to relax and enjoy the peaceful Siena countryside but also to be able to make short trips to explore a territory with rich wine and food traditions and important artistic and naturalistic centres, such as that of Chianti that winds along the wine route which, passing through the beautiful villages of Gaiole, Radda, Panzano and Greve, leads to Florence; also to be discovered are the fascinating villages of Montalcino and Pienza, immersed in the stunning setting of the Val d'Orcia, or Montepulciano and San Gimignano: a unique experience that combines art, nature and culture, where the leitmotif is the delicious nectar that here reaches its sublime expression.

The house consists of 3 units, each with independent access: two on the ground floor (with direct access to the portico with dining area) and one on the top floor. The main entrance, on the ground floor, opens onto the living area consisting of a single room with fully-equipped kitchen and dining area. From here you go into a small hallway with double bedroom (and direct access to the outside via a French window) and a bathroom with shower. The second unit, accessible through two French windows next to the main entrance, consists of a large double bedroom with additional double sofa bed and ensuite bathroom with shower. The room has direct access to another portico at the back of the house. An external staircase leads up to the top floor with the third unit - a living room with fireplace and satellite TV (with a double sofa bed) leads to a short corridor with two double bedrooms with queen-size bed and a bathroom with two showers. The floor is completed by a spacious kitchenette/laundry.


In the vast park surrounding the villa, immersed in silence and fenced-in for about 3 hectares, olive trees alternate with manicured lawn areas and a varied vegetation. Fruit trees, such as cherries and figs, line one side of the garden whilst around the house are beds of geraniums and rose bushes. The large portico in front of the kitchen, framed by fragrant climbing jasmine, is set up for outdoor dining, with a brick-built barbecue just a short distance away. At the back, a second portico is the perfect place where guests can relax and admire the view of the beautiful hilly landscape. Along the private driveway is the covered parking area belonging to the property.

Swimming Pool

The fenced-in pool is positioned in a large sunny area, in the middle of the park and next to the house which is about 35 m away. The circular pool, with travertine border and lined in PVC, measures 53 sq m, and is provided with a ladder for access to the water. There is a cold-water shower and lighting inside the pool and in the garden surrounding it. The purification system is chlorine. The solarium area, in stone and lawn along the perimeter fence, is provided with sunbeds, umbrellas and a wooden gazebo with tables and chairs.

Montebenichi is a tiny village, whose origins can be traced back to the Lombard era, located on the ridge of a hill (500 m above sea level) which separates the area of the Siena Chianti from that of the Arezzo Valdarno and which, thanks to its location, offers spectacular views over the typical Chianti countryside. It preserves monuments of a rich past (the old castle and church in the village centre, and the parish church of Santa Maria in Altaserra, considered one of the most beautiful and best preserved monuments of the whole area). The Chianti terrritory is located right in the centre of Tuscany, between the cities of Florence to the north, Siena to the south and Arezzo to the east: the ideal location for visiting the beautiful art cities but also for exploring the many fascinating rural borghi set in the 'gentle hills' that surround Siena, with their picturesque postcard landscapes.
