RECEPTIVE STRUCTURE. Il Molinaccio is the result of the accurate restoration of an old mill, dating from the sixteenth century, which has maintained the original architecture:terracotta floors, exposed beams and stone façades. The interior is tastefully furnished in typical Tuscan taste, salvaging pieces of furniture of the old rural tradition mixed with the modern comfort of the accessories in a formula combining tradition and functionality. The ground floor is enhanced by a large stone portico from where guests can get easily to the dining room and kitchen. Strategically located below the little Renaissance town of Montepulciano, Il Molinaccio is a good starting point for day trips to big cities and towns like Florence, Siena, Perugia, Assisi and Rome, as well as to world famous places in the immediate vicinity such as Montepulciano, Pienza, Bagno Vignoni, Monticchiello, Montalcino, Cortona and Sarteano.

Il molinaccio has been subjected to a check-up by a technical responsible before the beginning of the season, to ensure consistency of the description, accessories listed on this page and their present state of operation/maintenance, to guarantee quality, cleanliness and comforts to all clients who will stay here. This check has been carried out on 9th may 2013.
MAIN HOUSE: The main house has two floors and is divided into three units. The first unit is on the ground floor with the main entrance leading directly into the open plan living area consisting of a lounge, dining room and kitchen with large fireplace and then on to a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with Jacuzzi tub and to a toilet. The other unit on the ground floor has a separate entrance leading directly to a twin bedroom with joinable beds and two additional beds and ensuite bathroom suitable for the disabled. A small hallway leads from this room to another double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower. This room also has outside access. The third unit, on the first floor, is reached by a staircase with a little loggia. The entrance leads into a living room with large fireplace. On this floor is also a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower, a kitchenette, two twin bedrooms with joinable beds, and two bathrooms with shower. ANNEX. The single storey annex is about 30 metres from the main house and consists of a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower.
The property is immersed in a one-hectare park consisting primarily of woodland, the house is surrounded by approximately 6,000 square metres of garden planted with a well maintained lawn and framed by old oak trees which provide shade and cool on hot summer days. Everything is embellished with rose bushes and geraniums that add a touch of colour to this oasis of green and tranquillity. The house has a beautiful stone portico, with table and benches, ideal for pleasant outdoor meals. Guests have a large barbecue at their disposal on which to prepare tasty grills accompanied by a good glass of wine, Nobile di Montepulciano. There is also a small outbuilding used as a laundry and two covered parking space. The small forest is crossed by the river Salcheto, along which the owners have realized a walking footpath with natural bridges, good for plenty of exercise or stop, on the wooden handmade benches, and relax enjoying the natural landscape. 3D targets, representing local animals, have be positioned along the river upgrading it to a fully fledged Archery Range were professional and amateurs may try their capabilities or learn this ancient sport with the help of a skilled trainer.
The infinity pool is open from the last Saturday in April until the first Saturday in October. It is only few metres from the house, in a dominant position with respect to the property and is reached via a few steps or more easily across the lawn. The rectangular-shaped pool has chlorine purification and is equipped with Roman steps for access to the water and a cold-water shower. It measures 5 x 18 m with a depth varying from 1.20 m to 1.60 m. The pool is lined with PVC and is equipped with lighting, the solarium area is paved with travertine. It is provided with sunbeds, deckchairs, umbrellas and small tables. Not far from the edge of the pool, under the old oak tree, a relaxation area has been set up with a comfortable lounge suite.
