PRIVATE STRUCTURE. Pianarina is a beautiful house built entirely in stone in respect of the architecture of the typical rural houses of the area. Located in a tranquil and panoramic position it has a captivating view over the Umbrian hills covered by dense green woods.The capacious internal spaces, the large luminous rooms and the high level finishings (floors in hand made tiles, large open wooden beams) make Pianarina the ideal place for those who like tradition but don't want to renounce modern comforts. The position of the house is perfect for those wanting to enjoy a relaxing holiday in contact with nature. The location is particularly strategic being just a few kilometres from top historical and cultural centres like Orvieto, Perugia, Città della Pieve, Chiusi, Cetona and San Casciano dei Bagni. Furthermore, its vicinity to the A1 motorway allows guests to reach in less than an hour the famous cities of Florence and Rome.
The house is comprised of two storeys. On the ground floor , with the main entrance, is the living area. The large room is subdivided into sitting room, dining room and fully equipped kitchen with central island. The ground floor is completed by the study with double divan bed, a bathroom with shower and a laundry room. A staircase leads up to the first floor composed of three twin bedded rooms with en suite bathroom with shower, one twin bedded room with en suite bathroom with tub and a double room with en suite bathroom with shower.
50 hectares of land surround the property of which one is taken up by the garden surrounding the house. The park has a very variegated vegetation with olive and fruit trees, tall trees, every variety of flower, lavender bushes and a well maintained lawn. There is also a vegetable garden filled with seasonal vegetables. One side of the house is adorned by the spacious portico and bowers of grapes and Virginia creeper equipped with tables and chairs for pleasant alfresco meals. Guests can use the built in barbecue situated behind the house to grill tasty local meat accompanied by a good glass of wine.
Open from the last Saturday in April to the first Saturday in October, the pool is situated in a panoramic position in respect to the house. Only a few metres from the house, it is easily reached by a flight of wooden steps or by the road leading to the vegetable garden for those wishing to avoid the steps. The pool is rectangular in shape with Roman steps leading into the water and measures about 12 x 6 metres with the depth varying from 1 to 1,80 m. The pool is lined in PVC and is illuminated in the evening. The border is in travertine. The solarium area, provided with sun beds, deckchairs, little tables and umbrellas, is paved in stone. There is a cold water outdoor shower.
