4 night stay May 2016

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I had a lovely holiday based in this cottage. We took the ferry to Roscoff and wanted to stay relatively near the port to allow us to explore the town and surrounding area (historic sites, gardens and coastline) without too much travelling, but also wanted to travel westwards towards Brest. Le-Cloitre-St-Thegonnec was the perfect location.

Jeanne Bezia was charming and very welcoming, even giving gifts of local cider and homemade cakes on our arrival. Her cottage was incredibly clean and very well-equipped; her garden pretty and well-maintained. The village was small and quiet which was just what we wanted. Its only shop was a bakery but there was a supermarket a few miles away which had everything we needed.

We would definitely recommend this property and intend to return to visit other areas both west and east.

 2 Suggested Itineraries

.1) If you come from Rennes, after Guingamp, ahead of Morlaix

take exit Plouigneau, to 1 roundabout take the 2nd exit (D 37A) towards Plougonven straight until 1 turn

Caution in the turn, take the 1st road right towards Plougonven, Plourin until 1 roundabout with mushrooms

There, turn right, cross St Eutrope and continue until a stop (to the stone cross)

At the stop sign, turn right and immediately after, left towards Plourin-les-Morlaix

A Plourin, straight over 2 roundabouts and at the 3rd level of a garage, take the 3rd exit towards the Cloister.

After the locality "Quélern", take the first road to the right that leads to the town of Cloitre.

At the entrance of the town, small roundabout, turn left onto the street from the church square and extends by one narrow street: Street Alley.

On the left you will see house with one door, windows and purple shutters. In front, right, is the access to the house. White PVC portal, down the street, will be open and you can advance you to the west gable of the house.

welcome to you

2) if you prefer to continue until Morlaix, on the express road N12 Rennes-Morlaix (direction Brest)

Exit Saint Martin des Champs

Hospital management

At the bottom of the ring road junction with the roundabout and on the right D 769 towards Carhaix, Huelgoat, The Cloister.

Follow this road and about 12 km to a place called "Le Plessis" you have on your left the D111 which leads to the Cloister of the town. You arrive at the garage PIERES and there on your left is the street Alley (the street name is indicated on the first house on the right) which leads to the place of the church-see immediately on your left a well and the "Clévacances" panel at the beige wall of the house. The entrance is just after (opposite the house with shutters, windows and door purple), down the street (white gate)

PS: it is best that you do your shopping before arriving at the Cloister - the bakery will be open as to the supply, it is really in troubleshooting ...
