Wondeful central location

  • 4 of 5

The apartment was quite nice, on the small side but it worked well for us. My husband and I stayed there with another couple for the week. Kitchen was well equipped, although a few of the pans should be replaced as the Teflon is very scratched and starting to come off. I cooked breakfast for our little group every day. The washer/dryer should probably have slightly better instructions for use as we had some difficulty figuring it out. Loved the heated tile floors in the main bathroom, very nice when you get out of shower. The sofa in living room is due to be replaced soon, not very comfortable. My husband and I took the smaller bedroom and we had no issues with the size of bed, it worked well for us. Showers drain a bit slow. We felt very safe and secure in the apartment. Some people in previous reviews made comments about the homeless, they do not bother you and it is like that in many big cities. Not an issue here at all. The minor issues that I mentioned are what prevented me from giving a 5 star review. Across the street is a very good Greek Restaurant, Mykonos, we ate there twice. We also got coffee from the Queen of Tarts, just across the street about a 1/2 block down from apartment. All 4 of us said we would rent apartment again next time we make it to Dublin. Thanks for making our first stay in Dublin so great.

Great Accomodation

  • 4 of 5

First, I want to thank Ivan for being so helpful. The apartment is right at the centre of Dublin, it couldn't be any better! One would think that it can be really noisy, but we didn't hear anything when the windows were closed. The living room and kitchen are great. It was very clean, comfy and spacious. The kitchen does really have everything you need. Our bedroom (the big one) was very nice. The only "negative" thing that comes to my mind is that the bed used to slide away in the night because it was not attached to the board (which we thought was part of the bed but for some reason it wasn't screwed). The bathroom inside of our room was a bit small but clean and the shower itself was big enough. The other bathroom was very nice. One of our group said that in the night time, there was no warm water, but I assume, she accidently turned off the heater because in our small bathroom, everything was ok. The other bedroom was very small and the other guests complained that the bed was unsuitable for 2 people. Maybe one should keep that in mind when booking for 4 guests. Nevertheless, it will be still worth the stay. We felt save, Ivan was so nice, everything was clean and were able to explore Dublin by foot. We would definitely recommend

A Great Stay in the Shamrock Land

  • 4 of 5

Excellent location. Good size flat for 4 people, however the personal bathroom is a bit claustrophobic, though it didn't bother us much. It was a lovely surprise to find the kitchen containing pots, pans, plates, cutlery and a lot of basic ingredients like spices and tea, which really saved us the hassle of going out and buying them. The owner was very discrete, we only met him to pick up the keys. We will definitely recommend this flat to our friends.

Thank you, Ivan.

Perfect Spot!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at this apartment after Christmas 2015 through early January. The location couldn't be better and we walked everywhere. Ivan was very accommodating, and although we were a little concerned about the meeting place, he was there and waiting for us, and true to his word it was a few steps away from the front door. The apartment is very secure, with entry to the general property through a locked gate, and then go directly to the front door. The apartment itself is clean and well equipped. We bought pillows (we prefer soft pillows) and slippers, as the floors were very cold, and being Canadian, we take our shoes off indoors. The bed was very comfortable and the heat could be turned up or down in each room. We didn't find it noisy at all and slept well at night and napped during the day. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks Ivan.

Unbeatable Location

  • 4 of 5

The location of this apartment is unbeatable. It's right across the street from the Temple Bar area and The Dublin Castle is literally in the backyard! No more than a 5 min walk to anywhere you'd want to be and it was so easy for us to make a quick stop to pick up something we needed or forgot during the day. Ivan was a great host and was there to let us in and answer any questions we have. He gave us great recommendations for cheap, safe parking and the local area in general. Like other renters, we were concerned by the homeless people who were in the one corner but it was a nonissue, as Ivan assured us. The apartment was clean and efficient despite how small it was. The noise from the street was not as bad as reviews make it seem. By our second night we didn't even notice it. Our family of 5 (all adult size now) were a bit tight but the location made it worth it. 3 adults would be much more comfortable or a family with smaller children. Overall, we wish we could have stayed longer and definitely recommend this apartment for travelers to Dublin who want to be right where the action is!

MERCI Ivan: Excellent accueil et superbe appart !

  • 5 of 5

Cher Ivan,

Byebye.

Céline.
