This beautiful property, designed by an award-winning architect Richard Reid, is the ultimate in contemporary living with a double height vaulted ceiling, electric opening roof system, full height & full width, panoramic glazed elevations and fantastic external terraces. It really is simply stunning.

Guests are quite literally bathed in the abundance of amazing natural light within the villa, which provides the most dramatic, almost theatrical viewing platform to the vistas beyond. Enjoy the setting sun from your private balcony, cold drink in hand, whilst gently rocking back and forth on the funky outdoor swinging seats.

Oak Lodge is a unique holiday villa, situated on the prestigious Lower Mill Estate, the UK's first and as far as I am aware, only, residential nature reserve.

The estate is a real haven of peace and tranquillity and in my opinion, the perfect antidote to the stresses + demands of everyday life and forgive me for perhaps being presumptuous, but I do think you are going to absolutely love it!

What makes this house unique

Oak Lodge is a chic glass fronted 4 bedroom property, presented over three floors, within a truly wonderful lakeside setting - on the beautiful & mature Howells Mere Lake.

Thoroughly contemporary in its exterior and interior styling - with 2 x double bedrooms, two of which benefit from direct access onto a private balcony area, with beautiful views over Howells Mere Lake, this is a really spectacular property.

Enjoy of the gas effect wood burning stove for cosy nights in, whilst looking out on the majesty of your very own nature reserve !

“The property was perfect for our requirements and exceeded our expectations. More than enough room for 7 adults and a baby. It was spotlessly clean on arrival, well equipped and furnished. We particularly liked having a barbecue on Christmas Day and the Hot Tub was fun too! The Lower Mill Estate was a lovely place to stay at. Pleasant to walk around and the gym, swimming pools and sauna were a real bonus. Although I don't really like to go back to placed where I have stayed I would not hesitate staying there again.”

A piece of heaven on earth !!

We have never been so relaxed whilst on holiday .... The surroundings are beautiful.... There is enough to see and do without moving very far

The house is equipped with everything you think you need and more and is furnished to the highest standard. It was spotlessly clean and very welcoming upon arrival ... We really didn't want to leave

We felt that should we need help with anything it was only a phone call away and clearly nothing was too much trouble

We will definitely return and already have reccommended it to so many of our friends, families and work colleagues .... Truly amazing 5* +

What an amazing place!

This place is absolutely amazing! Really modern and luxurious with lakeside views from almost every place in the house. Sunshine from morning till evening, bbq on the patio over the lake and you've got to visit the Spa! Just relax and enjoy yourselves!

Luxury and nature combined - wow

Loved Lower Mill, the location around the lakes is really unique, took some beautiful pictures of the wildlife too as an keen photographer. The property, well it really was wow to us, what a view. Also warm, clean, inviting and we got a warm welcome form Jamie, and he was around if we needed anything. My wife relaxed in the spa daily, swimming or having treatments – she got a bit addicted as they were so good (but lucky for me well priced!). Nipped to Cirencester, not far way to stock up and wonder around, and also discovered famous The Bakers Arms – nice to stumble home as not far to walk. Really impressed with this place. Thank you again for a wonderful stay.

Absolutely Amazing!

What an amazing property! Very luxurious, modern architecture with stunning large glass walls giving superb view of a lake! We are booking for the next year, it's just great. Highly recommend.
