About Philip LaFountain
My wife and I are originally from Northwest Ohio and we have 2 boys. I joined the Marine Corps in 1992 and attended recruit training right here at Parris Island. At the time, I was completely unaware of how beautiful this area was. The Marine Corps brought us back to Beaufort, SC in 1999, where I served as a Drill Instructor on Parris Island for 3 years. My wife and I fell in love with the town for its beauty, history and simple life style.

Great place to stay
Cute and comfortable house within walking distance to shops, restaurants and waterfront
This place was great! The property was beautiful, the owners were very responsive to any questions we had. The entire process was quick and easy. It made our visit for the Marine graduation just perfect. If you are looking for somewhere to stay I highly recommend this.
I was In town for graduation at PI- very easy to get to and from base. Home is very cozy with all you need. Owners great with communication leading up to stay due to Hurricane few days prior. Very accommodating with a special request.
Great community, safe, walking distance to great restaurants.
Would recommend to anyone!
Great family house in a great location!
I was shocked at how much kitchen stuff already available for use. My family and I really enjoyed our stay of just relaxation! Beautiful house and not to far from the beaches.
Great house and neighborhood
The location of this property was perfect. We were within walking or biking distance of Fishcamp on 11th, the beach and the town. We enjoyed the front porch swing on the rainy afternoons.
Our home is located in the Village of Port Royal. Walking distance to several restaurants including 2 pizza parlors, Smokin' Planks BBQ, Moondoogies- famous for their fried pickles and crab cakes, 1635 on the avenue and Mikki's Schoolhouse Diner.
Take a 5 minute walk to Sands Beach, where you can fish from the pier, climb the observation tower and stroll the beach looking for dolphins or sharks teeth.
