Interesting interior with a great location and spendid communication.

  • 4 of 5

Our rating is based on a combination of things. We would give it a 5 rating based on location, communication, views and amenities such as the kitchen and laundry. Great location in the lower town, close walk to lots of great restaurants and churches. Ugo could not have done a better job communicating from the time we booked the reservation through our stay. His team of Fabio and Rosa were also very helpful. The view from the patio was amazing, in fact, we could listen to a concert on the steps of the Church of Saint Giorgio one of our nights. There are a lot of steps to get to the apartment from the street level and as noted in the description, there is no bath on the upper level where the master bedroom is. Since it is an old building, the air inside is that of an old building, but there are two air conditioning units, one in the living room and one in the bedroom upstairs. They filled it with a unique collection of art and collectibles giving it added character. Modica is a gem of a town to visit. Don't miss it and spending time in Ugo's space.

A wonderful stay in Modica!!!

  • 5 of 5

We spent ten fantastic days in Modica (lovely and friendly city!). We really liked the apartment, very special and beautifully decorated. A lot of space and two outdoor places, perfect for relaxing and eating. The house is perfectly situated; it’s close to the main street with a lot of restaurants and small shops, but at the same time calm and away from traffic. Though we came by car, we had no problem to find free parking close to the house.

Ugo, the owner of the house, was very kind and helpful in all thinkable ways. A most amiable person. He gave us good recommendations for things to see and discover and god tips on great beaches.

We highly recommend it, booth the house and the city!

One of the most interesting places

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this house over Easter for 7 days. The house is fantastic, if not a little crazy! There were two of us and the house, while retaining its traditional features was filled with antiques both new and old. The two shower rooms (one of which is built into the cave wall) are well fitted out to a very high standard. The flat screen TV and the comfortable sofa in the Cave part of the house was excellent for relaxing in on an evening when you dont fancy going out.

The house is located at the top of Corso Umberto with plenty of parking, a shop near by and a short walk to the center of town. The terrace is lovely in the evening and the house, because it is in the pedestrian area was very quiet at night. One of the most interesting places we have stayed and Ugo was most helpful from start to finish.

Would highly recommend, especially for two people

piccolo paradiso siciliano

  • 5 of 5

Bellissima dimora storica

  • 5 of 5

Etwas ganz Besonderes in der Stadt der Schokolade!

  • 5 of 5
