I grew up in Foxton on the family farm. I moved away to University and then to London but after 6 years in London I decided to move back to Leicestershire to build some roots. I decided to build the log cabins on the farm in 2011 and have been running them ever since. The farm is still a working farm and you are sure to see some of the farmers working the land.
Laura Turney purchased this cabin in 2011
I love our log cabins as they are unique in style and have something different to offer from a standard house. The smell of the timber hits you straight away and is such a refreshing smell. When inside the cabins you could be anywhere in the world. The outside of the cabins are absolutely stunning and provides uninterrupted views of the countryside.
Foxton Locks is made up of the largest flight of locks on the English canal system and is well worth a visit to watch the canal boats navigate their way up and down the canal. There is also a museum on site and two lovely pubs. Foxton its self has two pubs within walking distance and a well used village shop.
The picturesque, busy market town of Market Harborough is just a short five minute drive from Foxton Locks Lodges. The town offers the ideal place to head for a range of well-known high street shops, independent boutiques and a range of restaurants and pubs. The town is steeped in history with the St Dionysious Church and old Grammer School located in the centre of the town.
