TV Internet issues
Overall, happy with the cottage. Internet was very slow and no TV. Owner was aware of the TV issue but was unable to get it corrected.
Great little cottage
Had a very nice stay. Perfect size for 2 people. The place is very close to Acadia and just a few miles from Bar Harbor. Wifi didn't work but the owner did what she could to try and get it working.
We loved being removed from the hubbub of the center of Bar Harbor but within short distances of everything we wanted to do while in the area. Nancy was the sweetest hostess and we were blessed to also meet her daughter, Amy at Peppers Pizza and Subs which has the best pizza and the best ice cream. The Chart Room across the street ,was good dining and very hospitable.
Perfect location to enjoy all in the area
Nancy Myers couldn't have been nicer. I would highly recommend this wonderful little vacation home away from home.!
Family of 4 stay in Hulls Cove/Mount Desert Island
This was the perfect property for our 3 week stay on Mount Desert Island. I was there for a work trip/vacation with my family. The location was perfect for accessing Rt 3 for Bar Harbor/Acadia National Park or to head into Ellsworth. The cottage was perfect and Nancy was the nicest host which made this stay just perfect.
Nancy is a gracious hostess who offers a clean, comfortable, well-stocked, quiet, and private getaway. We preferred to be just outside the bustle of Bar Harbor, but close enough to bike or hop on the shuttle. A beach is right across the street for morning sunrise along with food, wine, gas, and a small bookstore within walking distance. Hulls Cove entrance to Acadia is within minutes providing you access to either side of the Park Loop Road. There is a laundromat in Bar Harbor that has a small parking lot that is free for customers. Hannaford grocery is also in Bar Harbor and has a parking lot. We found plenty of vegetarian food options at that store and at a cute market at the other end of Crooked Road in Town Hill.
From our cottage you can enjoy an early morning walk along the cove beach or easily access the many carriage paths and hiking trails of Acadia National Park. The park entrance is only 0.5 mile from the cottage. You may wish to take advantage of the free bus service 'Island Explorer' and visit the other villages here on Mount Desert Island or possibly enjoy a sunset cruise in Frenchman's Bay aboard the Natalie Todd. Spend a day browsing the many gift shops and galleries and enjoy a leisurely lunch at one of the fine restaurants.
