Great location in Greenwich
Property is just as advertised - the location is fantastic and even though you are right in the heart of Greenwich, it is surprisingly quiet in the flat. Highly recommend this property.
Perfect location for a visit to Greenwich
What a fabulous place. We stayed in Greenwich for family reasons rather than to see the sights of Greenwich. But this flat is so brilliantly situated that we saw some of them - the Royal Greenwich Observatory, The Queens House, The Old Naval College and Painted Hall, all a short walk away. The Cutty Sark is about 3 mins walk away and the Maritime Museum is a short walk away although we didn't go to these places.
We have never been to such a well appointed flat. Not only was the kitchen well equipped (I was even able to make chicken stock in a nice big pot and blend the soup I went on to make - I like to cook!) but the flat also had the little things you have at home that are so useful. For example, plastic containers for left over food, re-sealable bags, elastic bands, cellotape, pad of paper and pen. There were even travel plugs for overseas visitors!
As well as being so close to all the tourist attractions, it is 5 mins walk to a Waitrose, and about a 30 second walk to a Tesco Express. There is an excellent butcher nearby (about 10 - 12 min walk) called Drings and a Cheese shop next door that has an excellent selection of pasteurised and unpasteurised cow, goat and sheep
It is also very close to the Greenwich pier for the River Boats - a very relaxing way into London. Buses are all close and the DLR station is about a min walk away.
I am sensitive to noise, particularly at night but the bells from St Alfege (also worth a visit) were quiet and I couldn't hear them at all once I closed the windows. There is a gym downstairs that plays music at various times of the day but they always stopped by 9pm.
Michel was very helpful throughout the planning and booking and Trevor was equally helpful on arrival. I'm not sure if we will make it to Greenwich again, but if we do, this is the place to stay!
Place was really nice and clean. Was located on quite street with quick access to rail and restaurants.
Wonderful home base for our week in London
This apartment, its location, and Michel and Trevor met and exceeded all our expectations. Located on a quiet lane just around the corner from the bustling streets of Greenwich, the flat was fully equipped with everything we needed and became a little oasis for our family of four after a hard day of sightseeing and exploring. The bedrooms are separated from the main living area, so when people's sleep schedules aren't quite synched, it's easy to keep the rooms quiet while others are active. Trevor and Michel were very responsive to questions we had and were friendly and approachable. The location was perfect. Around the corner from a grocery store, restaurants and the DLR station, as well as a short walk to Cutty Sark the Thames Clipper pier, we had easy access to things to do and amenities in Greenwich. Would recommend unreservedly.
It was very comfortable and perfectly situated! It made our holiday very easy and relaxing.
I would definitely return to this property, it was wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed using the space and it was fully equipped, they had thought of everything anyone might need for a home. The supermarket and DLR and other transport is a stone's throw away and being in the heart of Greenwich, next to the Thames etc is great for a holiday in London.
Great location, lovely flat in the heart of Greenwich
This is the second time we have stayed at the apartment. It is well furnished and equipped, beautifully clean and fresh, and a real home from home. We did stay during the London heatwave so it was a little warm - as was every other building in London!! Trevor and Michel are great communicators and extremely helpful and welcoming. Definitely a recommendation for a stay in historic Greenwich.
Greenwich is located on the banks of the Thames and is 15 min away from the centre of London and 10 min away from Canary Wharf by the various means of public transport (train, metro, and river bus). It is a site listed in the Unesco World Heritage, famous for its architecture, its royal park, its restaurants, its charming pubs, and its nice markets.
