About Keith and Louise Donington
My wife and I have been renting out the lake house continuously since we finished the complete renovation of the property. We hope that you and your family and friends will enjoy it as much as we do.
Keith and Louise Donington purchased this House in 2004
Why Keith and Louise Donington chose Antrim
The lake is great for swimming and boating. The water is clean and not polluted with mill foil. You are welcome to use the three kayaks and one canoe provided, or bring your own boat. The panoramic lake view is incredible all year round, whether sunny, raining or snowing. The house is located near the end of a private dead end road so is secluded, away from traffic, with a wooded mountain behind the property. The upstairs kitchen/dining/living area and the downstairs family/games room are open plan so everyone can enjoy the lake view.
What makes this House unique
The area is extremely beautiful, and generally uncrowded. The Monadnock Region, "is the road less traveled" compared to other vacation areas of NH. The natural and secluded private setting were the key reasons why we bought the house.

An experience lake life at its finest
Keith and Louise are the most gracious hosts. They happily greeted us upon arrival and provided a full tour of their home and amenities. Everything you need (sans food/drink and toiletries) is there. The kitchen has all necessary cookware and the outdoor grill was a plus. We loved sitting on the decks watching the boats, wildlife and sunsets. Louise was right, the loons have a magical sound! The supplied binoculars were a hit with everyone. There was an unusual heatwave the first two days, but we really weren't bothered by it even though there is no AC. The house stays cool with fans. Later in the week, temps dipped and we were grateful for the gas stove in family room for movie night. The best enjoyment was the swimming, floating on rafts and kayaking! The water is clean and refreshing!
Nearby restaurants, Tooky Mills (lunch) and High Tide (Wednesday car cruise night), make nice outings.
Overall, this was a great family vacation stay. My only ask would be for a fire pit to toast marshmellows under the stars. Other than that, I recommend you go and experience lake life at its finest!!
Summer vacation success!
Keith and Louise have a really special spot on Franklin Pierce Lake. They filled this lake house with everything we needed to enjoy our vacation.
We like to prepare family meals. The kitchen was stocked with all the utensils we needed to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner.
There are several spots to sit and enjoy the amazing views both inside and outside. On our one rainy day we played games, worked on puzzles, watched movies and napped. The beds were very comfortable and every corner of this house was exceptionally clean.
At the water there are comfortable Adirondack chairs and umbrellas to keep the sun away if you choose. I spent several hours reading and watching my boys fish. If you like to fish bring your equipment. Right off the dock my boys caught many, many bass and we watched a bass boat pull a 32" Northern Pike out of the water. If you are a swimmer the water is very clean. You can jump off the end of the dock, climb back up the ladder or ease your way in and out on the slip resistant stairs.
Just pack your clothes, a good book and make a stop at the grocery store and escape to the lake.
We usually do not rent twice on the same lake preferring to experience a different place each summer. I would 100% stay here again.
Franklin Pierce Lake
Lovely stay last week in this beautiful home. The owners Keith and Louise met us to show us around. Of all the rentals we’ve had through the years this one was the most well appointed. The house was bright, sparkling clean and had every thing we needed. The only surprise was the motorboat traffic on the weekend but during the week it was so quiet all we heard were the loons on the lake. Great grocery store in town and we enjoyed both the Sampan Asian restaurant and the local pub. Great stay!
The perfect place to get away & decompress. Our group ranged in age from 6-84. We ALL ❤️ Lake Life!
The view of the lake from three sliding glass doors became our large screen TV for the week. ( There is a TV and it works great) We watched motorboats, sailboats, kayaks, fishermen, sunsets, birds, and loons. This house provided enough space for people to go off on their own and be together. Everything we needed was provided and easy to find
( coffee maker, tea kettle, microwave, toaster, grill, grill utensils, dish soap, sponge, bath towels, sheets, board games). Our favorite amenities were binoculars with a book about loons, kayaks, a screened in porch that allows you to look up at the stars, and a lower deck by the water with built in umbrellas. The children who visited us loved going up and down the spiral staircase, looking at stars through skylights, having a birds eye view from the loft, playing ping pong, using the fooseball table, learning about loons, boating, and accessing the water from both stairs and a ladder off the dock. They brought electronic devices but forgot to use them!
We accidentally found out Tooky’s Mills Pub not only has good food, but also live music on Sunday nights. Kat’s Corner breakfast counter to live like a local. High Tide for seafood and ice cream.
Pack your beach towel, sunscreen, bug spray and head to Franklin Pierce Lake.
Lake is beautiful and perfect for family gathering. Owners were very friendly and gave a personal walk through of the property.
My family and I had a great stay at the lake house - loads of fun for everyone. We loved the kayaks and used them every day. Everything was easy and convenient.
