**** As seen on HGTV! ****
Husband and wife designers remodeled this once dilapidated surf shack on an episode of HGTV's Caribbean Life (Season 9, Ep. 3) and turned it into an upscale beach bungalow with a relaxed, bohemian vibe... making it the perfect place for the discerning traveler to start and end each day. Situated on a half acre of lush tropical grounds with winding pathways and whimsical gardens and an almost-panoramic ocean view, Abaco Moon is a safe and secluded cottage that's a stone's throw from all the beaches, shops and restaurants/bars this little Caribbean island has to offer!
Centrally located on the six mile island of Elbow Cay, Abaco Moon sits at the end of a private sand path lined with native trees, birds and butterflies and boasts a spectacular ocean view. Enjoy the hustle and bustle of Hope Town's bars and restaurants, then come home to the tranquil sound of the ocean waves and a quiet night sky full of bright stars.
Our living/dining room is a casual, comfortable place for you to relax and call home while visiting our beautiful island. Enjoy listening to your favorite music played throughout the house on our Sonos wireless sound system, or kick back and enjoy Netflix and Apple TV at the end of a long day. We also invite you to enjoy our library of books and board games- fun for the whole family!
The kitchen is stocked with all the creature comforts of home, so whether you're just making a cup of coffee (or a smoothie from our native fruit trees) or you're cooking three square meals, you'll have everything you need right at your fingertips.
Enjoy stargazing, grilling and eating meals or just relaxing in the hammock on our large deck with ocean views, balmy breezes and overhead protection from the hot Caribbean sun.
Both beds in the house offer high thread count sheets, Temperpedic pillows and soft, comfortable, light weight quilts. There is plenty of space for you to unpack your clothing in each of the bedrooms.
The bathroom is large and accommodating with a double wide shower and pedestal sink. Organic bamboo towels and hand cloths are provided.
The loft offers a desk/office area (if you absolutely must do a little work) and a private sleeping nook with a double bed and plenty of storage. Because of the architecture of the house, the open steps leading up to the loft may be challenging for persons with mobility issues or unsupervised children under the age of 6.
