This second story condo is an end unit,near ocean front. The lanai gives the visitor a wonderful view not only of the ocean and palm trees but the beautiful garden area and the hills/mountains. Kona Isle,itself is located 1 1/2 miles from'town', a nice walk done by many daily. A scheduled bus comes by,also a local trolley that will take you to the snorkeling beach (Kahalu'u). The trolley runs from town and the pier for about 6 miles South.

Kona Isle condos are located on the ocean with beautiful maintained grounds. There is a pool with new patio furniture. There is a sand beach with new chairs and lounges. If the waves are just right,you have access to a fantastic salt water pond next to the complex. Next to the 'beach' is a barbecue area with a deck,tables and benches. There are many happy gatherings on the oceanfront.

Kailua-Kona town and the surrounding areas are full of historic and adventurous sights,restaurants and events. This one bedroom,one bath condo will allow you to relax,be comfortable and enjoy your stay in Hawaii. I wish there were other ways to express an opinion other than loving it and not enjoying it.

The grounds and pool were very well maintained. Not so with the condo. The shower tile, faucet ( leaked) and shower curtain ( moldy) should have been replaced. The toilet ran several times and wouldn't shut off after a flush. The kitchen cabinets and bathroom cabinets were in poor condition. The oven door can't open all the way making its use difficult. The living room furniture was difficult to use due to being past its prime. The futon mattress was far past comfort. The sliding screen was hard to open and had a hole in it. I feel several things needed maintenance before it was rented. I realize Brad and Jennifer are new owners but the condition of the condo was not as I expected. I would not recommend renting this condo until routine maintenance is completed.

Great location

The condo has a great location not only in the unit ,but also not far the the main city center. The unit is not large ,but was just right for the two of us. It was so nice to BBQ ocean side and watch the sun go down. awesome. The down side is, it really needs a kitchen upgrade and maybe bathroom. I would say again

Battle Ground

Condo is in need of a serious deep cleaing, owner is rude.

First time in 10+ years of using VRBO that I have had to write a bad review. Not of the property but for this condo and owner.

When we arrived we noticed the condo was very stale, but dropped off bags and went out. The next morning we discovered hair in the tub and bathroom counter, tub and floor was dirty, food on the kitchen floor, spills down walls in living room, bathroom and bedroom. Cable TV and AC did not work.

When we contacted the owner, Bradley, he stated it is Hawaii and you have to open things up, which yes I know this I have been coming to Hawaii for over 20 years, and that the cleaner had been there the previous day. I found it hard to believe someone was in there recently to air it out and it definitely was not cleaned. He scheduled the cleaner to come review our complaints. She verified Cable TV and AC did not work and noted the dirty bathroom, kitchen and walls. She said she would let Bradley know. He then contacted me and stated she could come out the next day, which I told him not to schedule her since I already cleaned it, and that he would have Cable company work on TV and was still working on the AC. Usually owners have property managers to take care of these things and not rely on the cleaner to do this.

The next day I asked for the pool key so I could access the restroom at the pool and his response was Key not needed, we will get you one to ease your mind, seriously that is how you speak to a tenant? He is so rude. I don't believe he has every been to the property or condo as he knew very little and what he did know was wrong.

After 6 days of no AC and no further assistance from Bradley we vacated the condo 6 days early. He did not offer to reimburse cleaning fee or any of our stay.

The property itself is nice and there are nice owners and condos there that we were able to view, just don't rent this unit or from this owner.
