Originally built in the late 1800's this lovely house is in the center of our quaint town of East Marion. We are just two miles from Greenport, a bustling port town, where you can catch the Shelter Island Ferry or the last stop on the LIRR, and just 4 miles from Orient and the Cross-Sound Ferry to Connecticut. We are steps away for the Jitney, Fork and Anchor, a fantastic place for breakfast, Lavender by the Bay lavender farm, Sep's farm stand, a playground & soccer field and many other hidden treasures. We are also in the heart of Long Island's Wine country with dozens of vineyards just minutes away.

We have a large driveway to park your car, or easily park alongside the street, steps away from your entrance. You will find a lovely sitting area with plenty of seating. Enter through the new foyer mud room to the very large kitchen/dining area with new appliances and dining furniture, dishwasher, microwave, stove/range, coffee maker and a convenient pantry. You will have all the cooking tools, utensils, plates & glasses that you need, along with the basics like dish soap and paper towels.

The very spacious living room has lovely new windows, fresh paint & beautifully decorated. New flat screen TV, Free WiFi & Cable, and many new features mixed with some original antiques and details. There is also a bathroom with a shower on this floor. The antique staircase will lead you up to the second floor where you will find 4 bedrooms, each is a corner room with two windows, huge closets & lots of personality. The Victorian room is quaint and pretty with hardwood floors and lovely antique furniture; the second bedroom has pretty wood and floral Master is HUGE and lovely with a queen and an extra twin bed; and the "kids' room" is adorably decorated with the flair of the ocean, two twin beds and a large dresser. All carpeting not he second floor is brand new, each room has a huge closet On this floor, you will find a very spacious full bath with a newly glazed tub and shower, next to a half bath that you will find most convenient! The 2nd floor landing is a spacious hallway with beautiful new carpet & an antique banister. This is the original banister and is only about 30” high, so you will have to keep an eye out for curious children!

The owners are on premises, so if you need anything at all, they are always available. Family owned for 50 years, this house saw lots of love and holds some fantastic memories & good vibes!

We will give you free beach passes to our beautiful pebble beach on the Sound where you can enjoy the crystal clear water, boat ramp with a trailer lot and the sunsets every night. For rentals of 2 weeks or more, we can also obtain passes to a sandy south shore beach on the bay for a small fee of $15 per car. We just need two weeks advance notice for those. You will love walking through Greenport with all its lovely shops & dining, marina & antique carousel on the water. Please look up Greenport online to see all the special events lined up!

About Owner / Property Manager

Our family purchased this property in 1968 and had summer rental cabins that housed thousands of wonderful families over the years. Many of these families eventually invested in their own homes and remain our friends here in our beautiful little town. We love East Marion and we aim to be the most accommodating of hosts instead of running it as a turnover business. We are committed to give you a traditional, lovely North Fork experience.

This is the original main house which also has two small apartments available in case you need more space! They are located on the same property but with separate entrances and patios. Be mindful of your neighbors and maintain the peaceful evenings.

Great house, amazing host!

I stayed here with a group of 8 adults over Labor Day weekend, and it was great! Irene is an incredible host who is very easy to work with and she made sure we were comfortable in the area. The house itself is even better in person. The rooms are all clean and comfortable, and there's a nice living room for relaxing. We're a group that loves to cook, and the kitchen was great. It's spacious and has a beautiful large dining table. The grill is right outside the kitchen, which makes things easy.

-No smoking or any open flames (candles, incense, etc.) in the house. No fires outside aside from the BBQ. Kindly use provided outdoor ashtrays for your cigarette butts.
-No parties allowed. No commercial photography or videography or events allowed without written permission.
-Kindly keep the house occupants limited to the original renters. Maximum 8.
-Kindly keep noise levels low between 10pm and 10am. No loud radio playing.
-Kindly return beach passes with your keys. There will be a $150 fee per beach pass that is not returned.
-Late check-out may be available....please ask in advance!
-No sub-letting is allowed. Only the original renters and guests staying with them may live in this house.
-Do you trailer your boat or ski? We have a space for it right on the property!
-All rates are non-refundable.
-If you have full garbage bags, please securely tie them and place them in the receptacles by the garage to avoid any creatures rummaging at night!
-Please hang wet towels on the hooks behind each door. Do not place them on the furniture or bedding.
-We are always close by. If you need anything at all or if there are any problems, please ask!
