Cozy Beachfront Cottage

  • 5 of 5

Family of four enjoyed our stay at this cottage. The wrap around screened-in porch offered a fabulous breeze off the lake throughout our stay. Kids played in the sand, we had s'mores by the fire pit, grilled out, and fished off the dock. The evening sunsets were gorgeous. Within the home, everything was clean, worked properly and plenty of space for all of us. The bed was older and only a full size which was a little tight for my husband and I. The owner was very responsive - I would recommend this property for folks of all ages!

Wonderful getaway.

  • 5 of 5

Wow! This was a family vacation with adult children. Could not believe the space and he proximity to the bay. As others have noted, the pictures don't do justice to the property. There are beautiful sunsets, great swimming and you feel like you're away from everything. When you want some contact with others, you're still close to the restaurants and shopping in Sturgeon Bay and all of the other Door County cities. Also close to pontoon rentals. We hope to return. Echo the previous comments about the responsiveness of the owners which wasn't the case for other rentals.

Great Cottage in Sturgeon Bay!

  • 5 of 5

We picked this cottage as it was reasonably priced compared to other places. We had 4 adults and 3 children, which was perfect for us. The wrap around deck was wonderful and relaxing with the sound of the waves. The kids loved the water and it was perfect for swimming and not too deep. This is in the perfect location for access to seeing all the sights of door county. The sunsets could not get any better here. This cottage had a lot of room for everyone. Paul was great to work with, responded fast to emails. I just can't get over how spectacular the views are here. It definitely has the older cottage feel to it, which reminded me of camp when I was younger. We were glad there was not Wi-Fi at the cottage, as we wanted the kids to have a break from all the electronics and enjoy being outside, but with close access to town, you still can get on with cellphones or hotspots, which was nice for us adults! With that being said, the kids loved it here and want to come back! Overall a great stay!

Sturgeon Bay Hide-away

  • 4 of 5

At the end of a long, wooded (almost hidden) driveway, sits this charming old summer house tucked under the trees and looking out on Sturgeon Bay as it empties into Green Bay, allowing for beautiful sunsets over Potowatamie State Park, situated on the opposite side of the water. The house has a large screened in deck with lots of room for sitting and private spaces for quiet reading or a card game, a sunny side deck, a kitchen with plentiful dishes for a crowd (albeit no dishwasher) and stays cool all day and night because of the magnificent trees around the property. The owners/caretakers are responsive and have loved this home for decades as the site of many family gatherings. Great location for traveling to either northern or southern Door County.

A must stay in Sturgeon Bay

  • 5 of 5

This was a beautiful old house with a beautiful little beach. It is perfect for families. Our family of 4 had plenty of room to spread out when we needed some space. The kids loved the beach and collected shells every morning and played in the sand. This is a place where you have easy access to visit the sights in Door County or just hang out here and enjoy the house, beach, and water. Would live to stay here again if we ever come back this direction . The owners were also very responsive when booking and have thought of just about everything for the house.

Enjoyed our stay

  • 4 of 5

We had a family wedding and the owners were kind enough to let 11 of us stay for 3 nights. We brought air mattresses for the 5 kids and the couples were comfortable in the 3 bedrooms. Plenty of room. The place shows really nice and is even bigger on the porch and common areas than it shows in the photos. Note this is a seasonal place. We were fortunate that it was a cool weekend in July as there is no A/C and some of the bedroom windows didn't open and/or have screens. Not sure if it's a swimming beach but swimmers can probably swim anywhere water temperature permitting. We did not. All in all a really good value. Place was clean. Plenty of firewood. I would recommend that the owners furnish some newer, cheaper frying pans and a larger electric frying pan. Had trouble making pancakes for 5 high maintenance kids. Once again. Great value. I would recommend it.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your feedback and the suggestions. We will be investing in some new kitchen equipment for the 2015 season and the windows that were damaged in a storm earlier this year will be repaired by next season.
