A wonderful and unique 170-year-old townhouse which has been transformed into a delightful deluxe residence offering boutique-quality facilities whilst retaining all its historic charm.

This residence is situated in the heart of Altea's old town and boasts an alluring sunny roof terrace of 40 sq meters with views of the famous church . Set inside the castle walls and now a declared historic protected area, this delightful house with its boutique quality interior, is close to the main Church Square and is only a 6 minute walk to the beach front and Modern Town Center, making it a prime location perfect for a luxury living experience

With this property our aim was to complement the most interesting and beautiful historic materials with contemporary, high-finish design pieces. From the centenary floor tiles, stone walls, wooden beams and an Art Deco stained glass wall feature to the luxurious bathroom and all-inclusive kitchen with top of the range appliances, makes a stay in this property equivalent to being the Jewel in the Crown.

You enter this 1 bedroom property (2 additional beds can be added) through wonderful antique wooden doors where you are immediately greeted by a spacious hallway and wind rose-patterned floor tiles.

The double bedroom, with top of the range bed and luxury bed linen, as well as ample wardrobe space, is situated on the ground floor. With double glazed windows, air conditioning and under floor heating, you can enjoy a comfortable night’s sleep whatever the time of year you choose to visit.

There are built-in wardrobes to provide ample storage for short or longer stays

The adjacent modern bathroom consists of an extra large walk-in shower, suspended toilet and luxury hand basin.

The first floor is host to the spacious living room which is immaculately decorated with 1920’s floor tiles, wooden beams and a wood-burning fireplace that leads onto the modern fully-equipped kitchen and dining area.

This area is perfect for relaxing. There is a book library for your use, a flat screen television with satellite TV and SD photo card reader, and DVD player. Ipods can also be connected to the music system.

The stunning sun terrace, with separate toilet and wet room, covers the footprint of the property. With inviting, designer seating and dining areas shaded by a large, easy to-use parasol for relaxing or eating. There is an additional kitchen area with BBQ, all surrounded by Mediterranean foliage and mood lighting. You can sit back, relax and take in the beautiful old town skyline views in a truly romantic setting.

The large mature plants are all on automatic watering systems

To make your stay more comfortable there is free high speed Wifi, English & Norwegian Satellite Television, air conditioning, heating and double glazing throughout.

We supply the finest bed linen, fluffy white towels in the bathroom, beach towels and all the basics you would need during your stay (hairdryer, tea, coffee etc.)

The house has its own telephone and guests will be able to receive calls and also make free calls to Spanish land lines.

Although there is sufficient parking close to the house guests have the possibility of renting a garage just 20 meters from the house with a weekly cost of 50€.

We are more than happy to arrange airport transfers and any shopping requirements prior to arrival.

Amazing gem of a house in Altea

Like all the reviews mention, this house was spot on. Sue and Peter were gracious hosts and provided us with everything we needed for our week long stay. Right in the middle of the action of Altea, but blocked off from too much of the noise. Simply perfect location. The beach down in the town was fantastic, there were probably nicer beaches around but it wasn't even necessary- the one closest to the apartment was amazing. Will come back!

Lovely townhouse

Had a lovely holiday here the house has everything you could possibly need.

Suzanne the owner of the property was very helpful and accommodating throughout, from

collecting us from the airport and even stopping at the supermarket on the way to the house.

The town has some really nice restaurants and shops.

Would visit again and recommend.

Wonderful apartment.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The Town House is beautiful and very tastefully converted into one of the best holiday apartments we've been to. It's an old historic Spanish building , right in centre of the historic old town. The finish and attention to detail was spot on. Very homely and comfortable. The Terrace is great. We spent most of our time up there. Having the shower up there is an added bonus. There are some high tech gadgets, such as the cooker and microwave, so pay attention when Sue gives instructions! Might be an idea to leave out a small folder with an idiots guide to white goods. There was no working tv, something to do with aierial. Didn't bother us, plenty to do in the evenings.

Talking of which, for such a small area, there is an abundance of good restaurants, shops and bars.

Finally, Sue & Pete are a delightful couple who go that extra mile to make your stay welcome. They know the area and are always eager to please and inform where necessary. A truly luxury Town house and well worth a visit. You will not be disappointed! Would certainly rent again from Sue & Pete.

Wonderful house!

It was a wonderful time to stay in this house. This house is perfect for two members family or two adults and one little child. Sue and Peter every time can give extra bed, but in my opinion to be twice is better)))) It isn't correct to say "to stay in this house", better is "to be a guest of Suzanne and Peter at their house". Beautifull designer home, very clean. The owner provide all the details required for the guest: from the bathrooms to the kitchen utensils, beach towels, umbrellas, toys for the beach and more. Guest needs only to buy food, and no household chemicals and so on. First house for rent that I've seen, where books and cute knick-knacks not in the way, and forced to take a camera and make a photo-tagging in my architect library for future projects. There is a lot to say, I think worth a stay)))) I was surprised home and owners. My next vacation will spend with Susan and Peter at their house. P.S. Very big secret - this house is great house to stay in July-August))))

Luxury townhouse in the perfect location

This was our first visit to Altea and we're sure we chose the best location and accommodation. The townhouse sits on one of the prettiest streets in Altea old town and has been beautifully restored. It's clear there has been no expense spared with a top of the range kitchen and bathroom, not forgetting the luxury roof terrace where everything is to hand. The terrace is equipped with a small kitchen, shower room and extremely comfortable furniture which meant we could enjoy the sun, have pre dinner drinks or relax and look up to the stars in absolute comfort.

Sue and Pete were the perfect hosts and it's clear they are passionate about providing the best customer experience. Emails were responded to promptly; an e-mail informing us of the time someone would visit to do towel and sheet change; information on places to eat and visit, and Pete even gave us a short tour of Altea on the way from the airport to the house, pointing out restaurants, supermarkets etc. Overall, nothing was too much trouble.

The townhouse is on a quiet street but within a minute or so you reach Alte Arte, our local bar, where we always received a very warm welcome. The plaza de iglesia is literally two minutes from the house where you can experience the wonderful evening buz and cosmopolitan atmosphere. We walked down to the beach front/promenade most days which took around ten minutes depending which route we chose. The tram is also a ten minute walk which runs to Denia and Benidorm.

We can't recommend the townhouse enough and hope to be back in the future. Thanks to Sue and Pete.
