Great apartment for the value
We had a great stay in Supetar again. Fourth year in a row on Brac. First time in this apartment. The apartment has the things you need and are located really close to the beaches and supermarket. And a short walk to the restaurants/bars and the harbor. Quiet, no busy street. Recommended! Lack of one star for no dishwasher.
Sauber, alles da was man braucht, Lage ruhig und doch zentral
Gerne wieder.
The apartment is situated in a quiet neighbourhood of Supetar. Supetar is the main town on Brač, set round a very pretty harbour. Around the harbour are traditional old stone houses, all nicely renovated, and many of them now restaurants and cafes. From the harbour are cobbled alleyways to explore.
Supetar has several beaches - they are mostly pebbles or have platforms for sun bathing and some have a sandy bottom as you enter the sea. Some are set beside the trees and the nearest are just 200m from the main centre, the furthest are 2km from the harbour and close to much of the tourist accommodation. There are many beach cafes and restaurants, and water sports are available. There is also a water park where the children can enjoy the flume and tubes. Supetar also has a children's playground.
Come in the high season of July and August and you’ll find Supetar vibrant with life with holidaymakers from all over Europe. Eat out at a different restaurant each evening and sample the friendly bars and cafes of the town. Or, just 50 minutes from Supetar by car, you can visit beautiful beach resort named Bol, very famous for its beach phenomenon called Zlatni Rat.
Alternatively take a 50-minute ferry ride to Split and wander through the 1700 year old alleyways of the Diocleceans Palace, do some designer brand name shopping, or just promenade along the elegant palm tree lined Riva eating an ice cream!
For a quiet holiday come in June or September. If walking is your thing, there’s plenty of lovely coastal and inland walks with many beautiful old stone villages to explore.
