About the property

Cosy self-catering holiday cottage close to the heart of the popular seaside tow

Rose Cottage is a delightful little holiday cottage set close to the heart of the popular coastal town of Selsey in West Sussex. Ideal for a summer retreat or a quiet getaway for a couple, Rose Cottage makes for a cosy self-catering holiday home for short or longer stays.

Set in the rear garden of the owner's house, Rose Cottage is a self contained cottage with private access and off-road parking.

There is a comfortable sitting room which is open plan to the kitchen area, with a TV with DVD player. The kitchen area has a microwave oven, kettle, toaster and a fridge/freezer, so is great for small scale self-catering.

The bedroom to the cottage is cosy, with a 4 foot double bed and has a small wardrobe. The bedroom has patio doors that lead out to a lovely patio area for guest use, which looks out over the owner's well tended garden. There is a table and chairs, making this an ideal place to enjoy an evening drink or an al fresco meal. On colder evenings, there is small outdoor fireplace to help keep you warm.

The cottage also has a shower room with wash basin and WC. Guests also have wi-fi internet access available and bed linen and towels are also included for guest use.

Great for one or a very friendly couple.

Had all I needed. Slept well, very quiet despite being in the middle of Selsey.

Location

Car: recommended

The seaside town of Selsey has great amenities with a selection of good shops, including a ‘Budgens' supermarket within walking distance of the cottage. There are a number of tearooms, cafes and restaurants, offering everything from traditional afternoon teas or fish and chips, to Spanish tapas or Asian spices! Selsey is perhaps most famous for its lifeboat station and beach, making it a very popular destination in the summer months. There is a large leisure site to the west of the village, with a swimming pool and gym available for day visitors at a small charge.

To the north of Selsey is the historic cathedral city of Chichester, which offers a further great selection of shops and amenities. The cathedral in the centre of the city dates back over 900 years, with other attractions including the world famous Chichester Festival Theatre, and the Goodwood Estate, known for its horse racing and motor sport events.

Good road and rail links make access to the cities of Portsmouth and Brighton easy and from Chichester you can get the train to central London in under 2 hours.
