The Coach House Flat is a cosy and comfortable first floor flat and forms part of an historic building in the heart of Walberton village, West Sussex. Tucked down a quite side road, the building was originally the village stores and evidence of this can still be seen with the old shop signpost still in position at the front of building. The flat makes an ideal base for families, couples or friends who are looking for the character of a West Sussex village location, but also the convenience of being close to many places of interest and good transport links. Guests find Barnham station 2 miles away perfect for day trips to London, Portsmouth and Brighton.

Accessed through a courtyard at the rear of the building, stairs lead up to this first floor flat. The living room has plenty of space to be able to relax. There is a dining area with a table that can comfortably seat 4 guests, or up to 6 if friends or family visit. The kitchen is very well equipped, with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine. Guests are always delighted with the cupboards and fridge filled with basics cereal, bread, butter, jams, biscuits, cakes, tea, coffee, milk, sugar, rice, spaghetti, baked beans, fruit and much more. Perfect for self-catering especially only one minutes walk from The Coach Hose Flat is a well-stocked local shop and for bulk buy supermarkets are just 2 miles away . Many guests take advantage of the numerous pubs, restaurants and ‘take-aways’ in the nearby towns and countryside including ‘The Holly Tree’ just two minutes walk from flat.

There are 2 bedrooms, the first of which has a double bed and overlooks the attractive street scene. The second bedroom has twin single beds. The small, pretty bathroom has a bath with a shower over, heated towel rail and hair dryer.. The flat is decorated with pictures that feature local scenes, many of which have been painted or photographed by the owner. The flats location is an ideal base for artists and photographers. The bookcase includes many local history books OS maps of the area. It also has toys and games in the cupboards.

Guests who have stayed have included those visiting Goodwood Motor circuit events, Goodwood Horse Racing, walkers, those attending butterfly courses, bird watching events, cyclists, wild flower enthusiasts, historians, weddings guests, Cathedral visitors Theatre goers, foreign visitors wanting to get a real flavour of English life. Even locals have booked in when their kitchen was being updated!

There is an area of the courtyard that guests can use. Parking is on the very quiet roadside beside the flat .Access to main roads A27 and A29 is very easy just aa short drive to the following attractions:

The village of Walberton has a variety of very attractive period properties, a small parade of shops (very close to the flat) which includes a well stocked village stores, and a picturesque village pond. A 20 minute walk across fields takes visitors to The Black Horse pub and restaurant or this is less than a mile by car. The Avisford Park Golf Club is also within a mile.

The nearby historic town of Arundel has some fascinating shops along with its famous castle, wetlands wildlife park and the river Arun, which flows through the centre of the town. There is an annual festival which attracts visitors from all over the world. The many attractions of Goodwood, including the Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival motor racing event, as well as horse racing, is only about a 15 minutes drive away. There is also horse racing Fontwell, which is even closer. The cathedral city of Chichester, with its famous Festival Theatre, lies about 7 miles to the west of Walberton and offers a great selection of shops, cafes and restaurants.

The cities of Brighton, Portsmouth and London are all easily accessible by road or rail, with the nearest train station at Barnham being only about 2 miles away with a taxi rank available. Barnham has a choice of good takeaway restaurants for an easy self-catering meal. The chemist and cycle repair shop may also prove useful! The South Downs National Park is right on the doorstep, as is the wonderful Sussex coast. Climping beach, with its popular low tide sandy beach, and the fishing harbour town of Littlehampton are both within about a 10 minute drive.
