Amazing holiday

  • 5 of 5

I can not say enough about this home. It is cozy and has all the amenities for a family. The beds were comfy, the bathrooms were clean, and the kitchen had all the utensils and staples for a week away. The kids loved the treehouse, riding the bicycles, playing football, building a fire with us and roasting marshmallows. A grocery store is about a 10 minute drive and all the sights we wanted to see in Normandy were under a two hour drive. We even went into Paris for one day on the train and the train is only 15 minute drive from the house. Our hostess was amazing and brought us a warm apple cake to begin our stay. Highly recommend this for families!

Fabulous country retreat

  • 5 of 5

This converted farmhouse may be the best place we have stayed of many across Europe and North America. Robert and Stella were absolutely charming and hospitable, starting with a fresh apple cake and local jam waiting for us on the table upon our arrival and continuing throughout our week long stay. The house was incredibly roomy, especially for just four of us (two parents, two teens) with multiple bedrooms, bathrooms, and living areas and it would be ideal for two families. The kids especially loved the foosball table, the tree house and suspension bridge, and the outdoor soccer space. We all loved the cozy wood burning stove in the evenings and the well equipped kitchen. Our hosts thoughtfully considered every detail from the charming decorating touches to the multilingual books on the shelf and color coordinated tissue boxes in each room. The location provides ready access to the Normandy beaches and WWII sites, surrounding villages and cities, and allows for a manageable day trip to Paris (two hour drive). Because we enjoy exploring different places when we travel, we don't typically return to locations we have previously visited, but in is case we plan to make an exception!

Beautiful house in a very quiet & relaxing area

  • 5 of 5

Just got back from a 9 night stay at the wonderful Norman Farmhouse. There was 4 adults and 5 children and plenty of space for us all. The house was as described, very clean with everything you could possibly need. I think it was great value for money. Stella was very kind and let me access her internet as I could not get connected from the farmhouse, Bob and Stella stay across the fields and were extremely lovely and helpful also they could both speak English which was great. The tree house was amazing but unfortunately with having kids under 10 we could not let them go off and play without adult supervision. We got the train from Bernay to Paris one day and had a lovely 2 days on the Beach at Blonville which was an hours drive away. We had a great day out an Honfleur . I think you might struggle getting around with a SatNav! We loved the BBQ area and spent many an evening sat in the garden listening to the wildlife sat around the roaring fire pit. It is an hours walk to Brionne and the nearest shops so we did use the car a lot. It took us 3 hours to drive to Calais. I recommend this gorgeous house and if anyone has any questions then please feel free to email me kerrybeetham@gmail.com. Thanks again to the lovely owners Stella and Bob x

Calme et authenticité

  • 5 of 5

  • 5 of 5
