Parwin & David purchased Blue Rock in 2012. Parwin is a school teacher and was born in the Punjab and David is a Chartered Surveyor and was born down the Road in St Columb Major.

Why David Summers chose St Ives area

David's dream has always been to own a property close to a great surfing beach and with spectacular sea views. Parwin, on the other hand, is a self-confessed chatter box who enjoys the arts and likes having lots of people around her.

They started searching for a holiday home in June 2012 but got off to a slow start as they were both looking for different properties.

Fortunately, their search came to an abrupt end when they found a house that ticked all of their boxes. Blue Rock is within easy walking distance of the centre of St Ives, overlooks Porthminster beach, the sea and the harbour. It is also close to Porthmeor beach (one of David's favourite surfing beaches) and has great car parking. What more could anyone ask for?

What makes this house unique

This lovely detached holiday home is superbly located 4 minutes walk from the centre of St Ives and 5 minutes walk from the Blue Flag Porthminster Beach, and has stunning views of the harbour and the sea.

With stylish interiors, this reverse level architect designed holiday accommodation combines the charm of the seaside with 21st-century convenience. Perfect for families or groups of friends.

It has 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, car parking for up to 3 cars and a Mediterranean style garden.

St Ives was awarded ‘Best UK Seaside Town’ in both 2010 and 2011. With cobbled streets and artists’ studios, it is a great place to chill out in pavement cafes or gourmet restaurants. The Tate gallery is also worth a visit.

Best of everything in St Ives!

What a find! We stayed, over bank holiday weekend, with a party of 7. Parwin ( the very helpful owner) has thought of everything, from a very well equipped kitchen to very comfy beds and bedding. The real WOW factor is the view which must be one of the best in St Ives. Whatever the weather you could happily just sit and enjoy the views either inside or out. All this with the added bonus of parking will make Blue Rock our first choice rental in our favourite seaside destination.

Stunning views - A blissful magical break

The Blue Rock is a beautiful and tasteful accommodation to stay at when staying in St. Ives. St Ives has become a regular destination for us in recent years and our opinion of this magical place was heightened even further by our stay at the Blue Rock. Having visiting family over from the USA who had not been home for a number of years, the property provided a five star package in terms of accommodation, location and views. The house is offered for rental to a very high specification and lots of thought has gone into its design - even small details like booklets of where to visit and menu's for local takeaways were so handy after our long walks around town and the coastal paths. Every detail has been thought through to make anyone's stay here as stress-free and luxurious as possible. I cannot commend this property high enough and Parwin (one of the owners) has been a joy to communicate with since booking this property back in 2015. We will return like so many others before us who have experienced the Blue Rock - just as St Ive's calls us back every year the Blue Rock will also hold a special place in our hearts and memories. Thank you so much.

amazing blue rock

been to st ives many times this was by far the best,stunning property loaded with everything,spotless,excellent welcome from the house keeper the the bottle of fizz and chocolates,short comfortable stroll into town for wide range of pubs and resteraunts for all tastes will definately return and recommend to others , once again WOW

amazing blue rock

stayed in st ives many times before but this has to be the best yet , a stunning property with everything that a family group of all ages would need.It ticked every box from furnishings to views really is a dream property . would happily recommend to anybody and will even look at returning in the future . It is only a short stroll into the town for a wide range of pubs and resteraunts to meet all tastes

Amazing

When we arrived after a long drive, we were blown away by the amazing views from the top of the spacious comfortable room at the top of the house.

We were greeted by friendly management who gave instructions on how to use items in the property. Bluerock was very clean and equipped to a very high spec. Everything has been thought of so if u are making light lunches or a banquet you won't want for anything.

Bluerock is a 10 minute walk from town, beach and train station.

There is a Tesco's very close by for sticking up.

Eating and drinking places are in plenty along the front of the bay.

We loved relaxing in the loft room with the beautiful views.

We cannot wait to book for next year.

Amazing

We arrived at Bluerock early after a long drive and was blown away by the views from the top of the house. The management are there to meet and hand over all the details to you, and although we didn't need them they are there at the end of the phone if you do. We were equally impressed with the the rest of the house, it is equipped to a very high spec and contains everything you could possibly need to use for making a snack or a banquet. It is kept clean and to a very high standard. Bluerock is in a perfect location with a 10 minute walk into town, to the beach or the train station. Plenty of local eating places around the bay.

Cannot wait to book fir next year.

How To Find Us:

From the M5, take the exit onto the A30 towards Bodmin and Okehampton. Now go through 3 roundabouts, which will take about 1 hour 42 minutes. At the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Nut Lane (A3074) and continue through 3 roundabouts, this will take approximately 8 minutes. Now turn left onto Albert Road and take the 1st left onto Porthminster Terrace. From there, take the 1st left onto Talland Road and Blue Rock is the white architect designed property on the left hand side.
