THE HOUSE

 Capsades is in one of the most exclusive and romantic corners of the Costa Blanca on the Spanish Mediterranean (Denia. Alicante). Just 3 km from the beach and on the edge of the Montgo Natural Park, Capsades, an old farm estate with vineyards of s.XIX Century, occupies a beautiful setting between the mountains and the sea with magnificent views of the Mediterranean and the Montgo Massif. From the upper terrace, the sunsets are spectacular.

 With capacity for 12 people, the house sits in the middle of an OLD GARDEN with palm trees, cypress, carob and fruit. Her white stone walls reflect the light and style of the Spanish Mediterranean . Surrounding the house, a large garden, 2. 000 m2, with intimate corners that create a lovely atmosphere and produce a delicious sense of privacy. Arches of bougainvillea, wisteria, geraniums, hibiscus and roses abound. At the bottom of the garden, grape vines and fig trees shelter a small vegetable garden.

  The large private pool of 50 m2 (10x5), is surrounded by a large sunbathing area with sun and shade. On leaving the house, facing the pool, there is a porch with furniture. Next to this, a second porch, houses the old outdoor barbeque with bar for cocktails and appetizers.

  In another more elevated garden area is the porch-gazebo overlooking the sea and a large granite table for 12-14 guests. Beside this is another comfortable seating area, very nice for coffee or breakfast. The upper terrace of the apartment has a private terrace and 'chill out area' covered by a wooden pergola. It is ideal for napping or for a drink at sunset. The views from there are lovely. In a corner of cypress, the old well is of preserved carved stone.

Behind the gazebo there is a second kitchen for barbeques and paellas which also has a wood-burning oven where you can make great roasted meats or fish cooked in salt. It's called 'Paellero de Paquita', in honor of the excellent Valencian chef for more than 30 years working in the property. Certainly, we can say that the best paella over a wood fire in the area are those of Capsades and from the hands of Paquita. Here there is another gazebo under the trees, and a large bench with table, for an aperitif while cooking. In the rear of the garden is the laundry room, the clothes line and a bathroom with shower. At the entrance there is private parking for 2-3 cars.

THE HOUSE has 350m2 built on a single floor at two levels. Recently renovated (May 2013), it has all the amenities. The interior retains the original structural elements of the house and its antiques, combined with bright colors and decorative elements it leaves you with a Mediterranean ambience. The result is a comfortable, bright and very relaxing.

 Capsades has three large sittinngrooms, 2 kitchens, 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and sleeps 12. At the entrance to the house is a living room with large windows overlooking the sea, a room with a large fireplace and a dining area. The kitchen is spacious and has a bar counter. After a few steps, which show a small, ornate Andalusian patio, we come to another large room with direct access to garden, which has a living area, an old iron stove, a second dining space and another kitchen, also with bar.

The 6 bedrooms, 2 en-suite, are cheerfully decorated with individual style and all have names of garden flowers: Hibiscus. Bougainvillea, Lavender, Jasmine, Wisteria and Azahar.

Amazing villa, great facilities and views

The villa is beautiful and well-equiped for your stay. There is so much space and the views are amazing. The pool is beautiful with lots of areas around to bathe in the sun (or shade). The outdoor cooking area is perfect with a large family table nearby. The rooms were gorgeous with air-con and great bathrooms. Finally, the living room space (if you need it) is a lovely area for the family.

Our family spent a week there and had an amazing time. The welcome was great and we were allowed to leave our luggage as we arrived very early. One of the cleaners at the villa also kindly interpreted to our driver so we could get a lift back in to town. It is recommended to have a car for this villa but we didn't. The supermarket is a 20 minute walk (downhill) and it was easy to get a taxi back (about €8 from the supermarket and €10 from the main town) as the supermarket will ring one for you and the taxi drivers spoke good English.

Everything you need is in the villa and the air-con works really well. Two bedrooms are slightly separate with their own kitchen and living space so it was perfect for our group which consisted of a couple of families. Everyone had their own bedroom, bathroom and chill out space. We had four children with us and they loved it there will cards and games available and were never out of the pool (it is worth noting that the pool is about 4.5 foot deep in the shallow end).

We spent a lot of time in the villa for the week as we just wanted to chill out and it was perfect from the moment we arrive to when we left. Thank you x

Perfect!

We have just come back from spending a week in lovely Casa Capsades. We were 12 people including 5 children. The house and garden is perfect for a big group. There is always a place for everyone to enjoy each others company or sneak off for some peace and quite thanks to the number of terraces and seating areas. The pool is perfect for older children to jump, dive and play around as it is deep all the way. We enjoyed evening drinks on the roof terrace with the beautiful view of the sea, the castle and the mountains. The BBQ area is good for hanging around while dinner is being prepared. The only thing we did have som problem with was the barbecue as there is limited possibilities to lower, or raise, the grill rack.We did try the wood oven as well for making pizza.

The outdoor dinig area is very comfortable with a lovely view of the pool and the sea. Lots of room for 12 people.

We did not spend that much time inside but the bedrooms and bathrooms are nice. A/C available in all bedrooms and in the living areas as well.

The area where the house is situated is a residential area, very quite and calm. easy access to Denia town, the port and beaches by car. The supermarket, COOP, in the neighbourhood has a good selection of fresh fish, meat, vegetables, fruit, bread etc. All you need.

Casa capsades became our home for a week. It is easy to feel at home in the cosy atmosphere created by the owners.

Un petit oasis de verdure

Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable ( 15 jours ) à la villa Capsades ou nous avons pu profiter de ses multiples terrasses . Dès le premier jour tous le monde ( 12 personnes ) c'est senti comme chez soi . Le centre ville et la plage ne sont qu' a quelques minutes de voiture et l'on peut partir à pied faire les promenades du mongo ou la vue est magique .

Un Oasis

Alquilamos la villa tres parejas. La casa es preciosa, una finca antigua rehabilitada, situada en la ladera del monte Montgo con vistas al mar. Está muy cuidada, limpia y plagada de detalles encantadores. El jardín es enorme, plagado de flores y con muchos rincones diferentes. Tiene un comedor exterior donde disfrutamos de magníficas paellas y un porche muy agradable. En toda la propiedad se disfruta de una paz increíble, aunque se encuentra a pocos minutos de la Marina de Denia, plagada de restaurantes. Muchas gracias por aportar vuestro granito de arena con esta espectacular casa para que nuestras vacaciones fueran perfectas.

 BEACH AND TRAILS

   Denia has 20 km of beaches. To the north, in the area of Las Marinas, are wide, sandy and south, in the area of LAS ROTAS, is the beach of La Marineta Cassiana with a succession of secluded coves that extend to the town of Javea. Denia has also developed an extensive infrastructure of boating and sporting activities that cover every expectation, from quiet boat trips, to extreme sports as well as sailing and diving courses. The promenade from the marina to Las Rotas is very attractive and may be done on foot or by bicycle. From the port of Denia to Ibiza go fast boats (2h) to Ibiza, Palma de Mallorca and Formentera.

   Montgo Natural Park 2.117 acres, culminating in an impressive massif of 753 m. Its proximity to the sea causes a sharp decline and a significant visual impact on the visitor. The park is home to over 650 species of plants and allows the observation of birds such as the eagle, owls and falcons. The Montgo has been inhabited since the Paleolithic. Caves and significant archaeological remains are found. At Eagle Peak remains the site of an Iberian settlement of s. IV. BC. There are various hiking and cycling routes from the upper slopes and the views are magnificent. Starting from Capsades, routes can be taken directly to the Montgo.

. GOLF

 GOLF LA SELLA. 27 holes. Par 72. There are three 9-hole courses with varying degrees of difficulty and with the names of the winds of its geographical position. At some points along the view over the sea and the Montgo are spectacular.

 OLIVA NOVA GOLF. 18 holes. Par 72. Its main feature is that in 15 of its holes water features come into play. Gently rolling terrain, easy to walk.

. RECREATION AND CULTURE

Denia is located in a bay and natural harbor, at the foot of the Montgo and its historical past shows old neighborhoods as 'Les Roques'o `Baix la Mar'. The streets leading down to the Arab castle Modernist Quarter of the city that still retains the palaces and homes of the bourgeoisie of s. XIX. Its monuments, museums, churches and chapels of Conquest worth visiting. In the fish market in the fishing port, you can buy fresh fish daily and seasonally, the famous red shrimp from Denia. It is very nice walk to the interesting morning Municipal Market stalls with traditional fresh product.

Denia's climate is especially mild and gentle with a mean of 20 ° C per year. In winter, daytime temperatures range between 13 º -19 º and in the warmer months between 25 º -30 º. This means that the number of visitors is constant throughout the year and thus, the city has developed a permanent commercial infrastructure and high quality. The choice of good restaurants and bars of 'tapas', is very large both in the town and district of fishermen, and the new Marina and the elegant residential area of Las Rotas. The nightlife also has a wide variety clubs, bars and live music.

 The food is excellent. Based on the Mediterranean diet, the cuisine of the region is specialized in rice, fish and seafood. Among the dishes, it is worth noting the red shrimp from Denia, the Cazuela Marinera (Suquet), fish in salt and baked vegetables.

Denia is one of the Spanish Municipalities with the highest number of local festivals in the country. Fallas, Bonfires of San Juan, Festival and Moors and Christians, are some that are held throughout the year. Going shopping is also interesting; highlights are the leather footwear industry for its good quality. Weekly (Monday and Friday) are street markets. The one on Fridays is a fair of antiques and curiosities. In summer there is a market artisanal in the fishing port, next to the Market.

From Denia you can visit the cities of Valencia and Alicante, an hour's drive by motorway and towns of the coast and the interior. Jávea, Altea, Calpe, Guadalest and Alcoy are some of the most noted.
