I was born in Rome and I've always lived here. My parents, my husband and my son were born and live in Rome. We all love this wonderful city and we are proud to be Romans. My husband and I often go around the city as a tourist in search of new emotions, and Rome never disappoints!
Roberta purchased this Apartment in 2013
Why Roberta chose Rione XXII Prati
We have always wanted to own a house in the center of Rome and when we had the opportunity to do it we enthusiastically bought this mini apartment in the Prati district, an area that we know very well since high school. Renting it to tourists in love with Rome is a new job and an amazing opportunity to share with others the passion for our city.
What makes this Apartment unique
The apartment is small (30 square meters), but delightful: it is on the ground floor of a building from early 1900's, bright and quiet, has three beautiful arches that support the ancient ceiling we have partially unveiled and the floor has the original tiles, red and gray. We have just (2013) completely renovated it in white and azure with the help of an architect and equipped with all the modern conveniences.

A Wonderful Stay in Rome!
Our stay in this lovely apt. was perfect! Roberta and her husband Chris were so accommodating, friendly, helpful, and just truly wonderful hosts. The apt. was very clean and stocked with wonderful snacks, fresh fruit, and a nice assortment of sodas and water for our enjoyment. It's also located near everything so you can get to a market, pharmacy, bakery, restaurant, within just 5 minutes. They also arranged for car pick-up service for us, to and from the airport, which made our arrival and departure so easy. On one occasion, Roberta came to the rescue by calling the restaurant we were at and helped us get seated right away on a busy Saturday evening, plus dinner was excellent! Our time in Rome was wonderful and staying in this apt. was fantastico!
Cute apartment centrally located steps to Metro
It’s a small clean apartment that is a short walk to the Vatican and just a block or so to the Ottaviano Metro stop. Very easy to get around and see the sights using Rome’s Metro.
Roberta was great and always got back to us quickly. They provided us with a few snacks and some great recommendations for local (walking distance) restaurants. There is a kitchenette if you want cook, heat, or reheat something.
This is our second time staying in this neighborhood and we loved it. Roberta’s place is perfect for a couple or small family looking to explore! We would definitely stay here again on a future trip to Rome!
Beautiful & Amazing!!
Roberta was such a lovely host. She greeted us with the traditional Italian greeting & made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. She even insisted on carrying my very heavy suitcase. Her place is beautiful & so comfortable & walking distance to so much. She provided us with fresh fruit, Italian donuts, snacks & a selection of drinks. She gave us many great recommendations & checked on us to make sure we had all we needed. She has many maps & tour suggestions in the apartment too. We forgot our outlet adapter & luckily she had every adapter needed in the apartment. What a save! We needed a cab to the cruise port & she kindly set that up for us. I cannot say enough great things about this sweet & charming apartment & Roberta. If you’re looking for a place in Rome, you will not be disappointed with this Vatican home. Thank you Roberta for sharing your lovely apartment with us. We hope to come back again.
Very nice accomadating gem!
This place is outstanding to experience Rome and the Vatican, located within a very short walk to the Vatican and metro transportation. Apartment was very comfortable and well stocked even for an extended stay. Roberta and family are excellent and are very willing to help with logistics getting around Rome and the airport.
With no doubt we would highly recommend this apartment,,, and already have to friends planning a future trip to Rome.
Charming, extremely clean and convenient apartment in a great location with a wonderful hostess
My mom and I stayed at this wonderful apartment for a week to celebrate her 70th birthday. From the beginning when I was corresponding with the owner, Roberta, I could tell that she would make every effort to help make our trip enjoyable. She was always extremely helpful and prompt with her responses. She arranged for a driver to pick us up from the airport and take us straight to the apartment (well worth the cost as the last thing you want to do after a long day of travel is try to negotiate your way into the city), and Roberta and her lovely son, Nic were there to greet us and carry our luggage inside. Roberta made sure that there were snack and drinks ready for us, and both she and her son showed us where everything was. Especially helpful were the maps they left for us with recommendations of places to eat and shop. We especially loved The Loft for breakfast and lunch, and the restaurant il Colibri around the corner from the apartment was fantastic (make sure to try the limoncello which the owner makes himself). The apartment is very close to the Vatican (15 minutes walking), and the metro (less than 5 minutes away), and there is a wonderful market close by (Mercato Trionfale). Roberta was an extremely caring hostess, and when we went to Florence for the day, she texted to make sure that we had returned safely. She was always asking if there was anything she could do for us, and she was always quick to respond. She arranged for us to have a driver to the airport, and when I received notification that our flight was delayed, I sent her a text at 6 in the morning asking if we could change the time for pick up she responded right away and made sure that we were picked up at the right time. I don't have enough words to praise Roberta. She is such a lovely, sweet, warm, and caring person, and she definitely enhanced our stay in the beautiful city. Grazie mille Roberta!
Thank’you so much!!!
Arrivederci a Roma:)
Exceptionally well-organized and well-appointed
We enjoyed staying in the apartment. It was a very nice space with all the amenities very well-organized. It was furnished and designed very well. We had expected a bit more space and separation between the single bed and the double bed. It's a bit of tight squeeze for 3 adults. Otherwise it was a great location and a great place from which to explore Prati.
The apartment is located in the Prati district, 400 meters from the Vatican Museums, 800 meters from St. Peter's Square and 150 meters from Ottaviano Metro Station. The area is very commercial, with many shops and restaurants for all budgets. The Trionfale Market, famous throughout the city, is just 300mt away.
