3 storey house/cottage close to beach and marina. 3 beds, one with bunk beds.

This lovely spacious cottage/townhouse has three floors with two reception rooms. Two double bedrooms on the second floor and a further bedroom with bunk beds, on the top floor which is light and airy. Family bathroom, with separate shower and bath. Sunny Courtyard. The house has an open fire plus wood burner. Very comfortable and well equipped. It is a fisherman's cottage and the harbour is right by the house.

Why Gillian Mackie chose Torbay

This is a lovely character fisherman's cottage/house arranged over three floors. Perfectly located for the picturesque Brixham harbour A ferry runs regular trips to Torquay on the other side of the bay. . The local beach is a walk along the harbour side towards Berry Head. There is plenty of activity for children, such as crabbing or, more andevturorus, canoeing.

What makes this house unique

Easy access for local transport. Resident long stay parking permit provided if requested. Some off street parking available. The property is close to restaurants, bars, coffee shops, sea food along the harbour. local fish and chips etc. The Crab Quay restaurant is being relaunched by Mitch Tonks, a well known chef and will open April 2015. The marina on the other side of the harbour boasts a host of yachts and boats and the views on Berry Head are stunning.

Enjoyable weekend stay

Warm , clean cosy cottage . 5 mins walk to harbour , perfect !

Be prepared for steep stairs, not a problem for the fit 😉?

Landlady very helpful too .

Lovely cottage ... brilliant location

Had a wonderful weekend ,cottage has everything you need ! In a brilliant location lovely & clean , only thing I would recommend is a black out blind/curtain in front bedroom as lamppost shines bright in to bedroom but we will be back & have recommended to friends & family ... thank you

Good location but a bit hilly

Close to the harbour but quite hilly to get to from the harbour. There is nowhere close by to park your car and the closest parking involves walking up more hilly paths. We paid for a weekly parking permit which allows you to park overnight in the closest car park. Cottage was nice although only 2 patio chairs for the 4 of us.

Absolutely fantastic

Absolutely brilliant....the cottage was exactly what we needed....clean and well presented and had all necessaties. It was a wonderful base to explore Devon and we had 2 unhappy little boys when it was time to leave. We would highly recommend the property and would seek to book again shortly. Thank you for allowing us the property for a wonderful break

Very Nice Cottage and perfect location

The cottage is well kept and has everything you need. Three good sized bedrooms and a small courtyard outside space.

Gillain contacted me on my arrival to see if everything was ok. Which I thought was a nice touch.

Plenty of cutlery, plates and glasses etc. Had a fully equipped kitchen and was very clean and tidy. The property also had Wifi, which is handy

The location is perfect, a short walk from everything.

Would highly recommend to friends and family. Ideal for all. But if you have difficulty going upstairs then you may find the stairs to the top floor a bit hard for you as quite steep. Which is the characteristics of this type of cottage.

Parking busy in Brixham, but lots of car parks and we found parking easily up Station Hill.

Overall we had a great stay and would definitely return next year.

Charming fisherman's cottage in a perfect location

This is a beautiful cottage in a great location just off the harbour in Brixham. I was surprised to read the negative reviews as we thought the cottage was just perfect.

It's surprisingly spacious, and in the style of a traditional fisherman's cottage, has a huge amount of charm. It is only a few minutes walking distance from the harbour front and all the local pubs and restaurants.

The cottage was clean and bright, the rooms well kept and comfortable, and the cottage has all the amenities you may require including a full modern kitchen.

We were there as a couple so we only used the one main bedroom, but the other two bedrooms are just as welcoming and this would perfectly suit a family or a group of friends. Our dog loved running up and down the stairs and around the house too! She loved noseying around all the little rooms and the external enclosed courtyard.

We had great communication from Gillian before arrival, and we found the cottage and local free parking without any problems, thanks to her guidance.

We would definitely recommend this cottage. Brixham is a beautiful little working harbour, and we hope to visit again at some point in the future, and would love to stay here again.

Brixham harbour and marina are very picturesque. Stunning views can be enjoyed from the Berry Head Hotel restaurant. perched on a cliff and overlooking the breakwater and Marina. Brixham is a busy working harbour with plenty of activity on the quay. The bay has much to offer for all the family and Torquay is easily accessible by ferry from Brixham.
