Overview

About the property

The Cabin has many updates, colorful Aspen, and Families with Pets are Welcomed!

Moose Manor has been recently remodeled. The cabin has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. The home sits on 2/3 of an acre, among colorful Aspen, Blue Spruce, with 2 natural springs flowing in the yard. Across from a Private Wetland where moose, elk, deer, and bear can be found eating and roaming. Moose Manor is a quiet place where moose and deer are often seen in the grass yard along with hummingbirds flying to the feeders.

The cabin is located in a quiet mountain area with land to play games, a beautiful fire pit to roast marshmallows over. Enjoy a peaceful walk around the area, sip coffee on the deck while watching the sun rise, or just sitting at the fire pit watching a colorful sunset fall behind the mountains, while listening to the Colorado River in the background.

Moose Manor is close to Downtown Grand Lake, Granby, and Winter Park is only half an hour away. Lake Granby, Shadow Mountain Reservoir, and Grand Lake are all within five minutes of our cabin. Rocky Mountain National Park entrance is only five minutes away as well. Trail Ridge Road passes through the park leading to Estes Park. This is the highest paved continuous road in the Continental US. Amazing wildlife, including elk and moose, can be seen along this breathtaking journey. There is 150 miles of groomed snowmobile trails within minutes of the cabin that meander through some of the best back country powder in the country. In the summer, these trails are used for ATVs with many places to rent all equipment including snowmobiles in the winter.

In July '17, the cabin did receive new floors, fresh paint, new kitchen appliances, new furniture, new beds and mattresses, new: bedding, linens, kitchen items, family games, 40" Smart TV and 40"TV in master, Internet/Wi-fi, and the NFL Season Ticket with Direct TV.

We welcome families with children and pets. Moose Manor has special touches to keep them all busy. This is a no smoking home.

About Don and Jennifer Finley

We have always wanted a mountain home for the last 15 years. We finally agreed that it was the right time and fell in love with the property the moment we saw it. We closed at the end of June and just fixed it up. Neither of us want to go back home, it is so peaceful here and we have never seen so many animals before in our life.

Don and Jennifer Finley purchased this house in 2017

Why Don and Jennifer Finley chose Grand Lake

This house is the perfect size for our family. We fell in love with the area and the feeling of being secluded yet close to everything. We are blessed to see moose almost on a daily basis. The walk around the area is peaceful with many breathtaking views.

What makes this house unique

The cabin has two natural springs in the yard and we have amazing drinking water from the artesian well. Wildlife can be seen all around the property. We have cool summer days and bluebird powder days in the winter.

Great place and friendly owners

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at Moose Manor. We were two families with 4 kids total. The kids had a blast playing outside and watching the Moose. The owners are very nice and want the best for their visitors. They do a great job of providing house necessities and then some. We all enjoyed the inside and outside games provided. It was a very relaxing weekend that allowed us to fully reconnect with our friends and disconnect from the world. Although, it was great having TV's with DirectTV as an option. We highly recommend this location for the Grand Lake area.

Well equipped, clean and great owners.

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed every moment of our 3 day stay at Moose Manor. All was good except the tiny, difficult to adjust shower in the master bath and the cabin wasn't as secluded as expected. We saw moose several times and on our last day, we saw a mule deer with twin fawns!

Wonderful family getaway with beautiful views!

  • 5 of 5

Our family stayed at Moose Manor for 2 days and enjoyed every minute of it! There were 3 adults and 4 children and the house could easily sleep 10 people comfortably. A marina is literally down the street from the property and we rented a boat and had a wonderful time on the lake! We didn't see any wildlife near the property on the 1st day, but shortly before we left on the 2nd day, a deer, a moose and an elk came by! The owner Kimberly, quickly responded to any questions I had, beginning from the day I booked the property and all the way up until the day we left! We will definately come back and stay at Moose Manor! Next time it will be for more than 2 days!

Clean, Comfy, Well Stocked and Amazing Wildlife!

  • 5 of 5

Seeing the baby Moose was incredible. Excellent facilities with all the comforts of home, nestled in a beautiful forest next to protected wetlands. BBQ grill and fire pit outside, all kitchen gadgets and equipment. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Close enough to town, but you are definitely in the forest!! Excellent for families or groups. Plenty of parking. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

We really enjoyed our time at Moose Manor. Don and Jennifer proved all the info we needed to know.

The property was beautiful! Felt like it was our home away from home. We did not lack anything while we were there! So homing, organized and very clean. It was just a short drive into Grand Lake. Loved the back porch with grill for cooking and eating time. My favorite area was the fire pit. Enough of seating for all of us and plenty of firewood. A moose visited a couple times. What a treat!! I appreciated the fact that my dog could join us. We all made lots of memories!
