The apartment is well equipped with a new kitchen and bathroom. Spacious rooms, balcony,free wi-fi and satellite TV plus free phonecalls to UK land lines and any French numbers. Double bedroom ( choice of 2 singles or one double bed) plus comfy double sofa -bed in living room. There is a lovely safe garden where children can play. Bath/shower and separate loo , very near shops , station, all forms of transport and the famous Halles de Lyon. Free on street parking plus garage. Food capital of France, great restaurants. Fascinating city also near lakes and mountains, city has parks, botanical gardens, zoo, museums, markets,lovely shops, swimming pools - impossible to get bored there. Excellent French courses at Alliance Francaise 4 stops away on tram. Friendly Bridge clubs for addicts like us.
Retired couple who love France with 7 children between us and several grandchildren all of whom enjoy a visit to Lyon. we spent a month doing an intensive French Course at Alliance Francaise which was excellent. There is so much to do in the city and many interesting places are in walking distance of the flat. We like playing Bridge and the best club in town is 10 mins walk away and welcomes visitors.

Great location - however you arrive in Lyon ( train or plane) you end up at Gare part-Dieu just few minutes walk from flat. Wonderful shopping centre near station and Rue Lafayette right by flat so hassle free travel. Buses leave to ski resorts , trains to Paris, Nice, Italy all take about 2 hours.
Friendly French neighbours, not an ex-pat place, you really feel that you are in France. Beaujolais region, lovely countryside, river trips, plenty of activities rain or shine.
A roomy apartment with plenty of kitchen utensils and many extra's for meal preparation. The hostess was friendly and helpful. We found this to be a particularly good location, very close to the main train station and a large shopping centre. There was easy access to the centre via an efficient metro system. We would have liked more bed pillows as there were only two supplied which were not comfortable (constructive criticism). There was a good selection of movies to watch which was great as TV in France is mainly in French.
We were very comfortable in this apartment & enjoyed staying in this quiet residential area. Everyone we encountered during our stay was friendly & helpful- & this despite our lack of French! Comfortable bed & comfortable sofa. Nice bright kitchen. A very short walk to the train station & easy to get to anywhere in Lyon from here.

Cet appartement est très bien situé, près de la gare Part-Dieu. Les stations de bus sont tout près pour visiter le vieux Lyon (ou même à pied). Les commerces, un marché...c'est très pratique. L'appartement est lumineux, propre, la literie est confortable. Nous sommes très satisfaits de cette location.

Ours was a last-minute booking , having been let down by another host within a week of our intended arrival in Lyon. Contact with Irene Robinson was met with an immediate reply, giving us confidence that we were dealing with a thoroughly professional person. The location of the property is first class, and it was immaculately presented. Spaciousness is its key attribute with the bonus of a covered balcony, adding a further dimension. Lyon for us is a city of understated culture, historical interest, and a gourmet experience par excellence. It will remain alive in our memory primarily because it will always be associated with our week-long stay in this apartment.

This flat really has everything to please : great location, quality equipment, great beds, good wifi, clean, spacious and practical. The street is very quiet but really close to Part Dieu station, the essential 'boulangerie' and all kinds of shops. There's even a small terrace, and blinds. Excellent !
We had a lovely stay in this very well kept apartment. It is clean and spacious and in a very handy part of town with excellent transport links. We very much enjoyed the well equipped kitchen and eating out on the balcony. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are in Lyon as Irene is very helpful and prompt to respond to any queries you may have.
City centre location very close to all public transport , bus, metro and tram frequent services one ticket covers all. Weekly/monthly tickets cheapest or buy 10 at a time for good reduction. The city is on two rivers and caters well for cyclists
( hire easy) and water sports. Numerous swimming pools outdoor and indoor plus sports centres, children's playgrounds, brilliant Park Tete D'Or with zoo and botanical garden. Park Miribelle has free swimming in lake and lots of sporting activities , bike hire , walks, restaurants and is accessible by public transport. Beautiful city with plenty of interesting sights, markets, restaurants, boat trips. Worth getting a Lyon City Card from tourist office which includes all transport for 3 days and free entry to all museums plus a boat trip. Several Michelin Star restaurants in and around town, Halles de Paul Bocuse few minutes walk from flat and other lovely outdoor markets around town. Beautiful shops and architecture, weekend book fair near river, the famous 'Bouchons' which serve typically French food and are very reasonable, interesting old silk-making area Croix Rouge. Car hire cheap and easy from Gare Part-Dieu but best book on-line as more expensive at the office. Around town within an hour's drive you can be in the mountains or lake district, taste wines, explore lovely villages in the heart of France, find famous Michelin star restaurants and immerse yourself in the life of the country.
If you want to learn French Alliance Francaise does wonderful courses and there are other language classes available. Bridge players please note great club few minutes walk away very welcoming and good standard.

The deposit of 200 Euros against breakages is due with the second instalment of the rent 6 weeks before check-in date . This will be returned less any deductions for lost keys, breakages, unauthorised phone calls etc. You will be expected to leave the apartment clean and tidy and dispose of your own rubbish please. The standard rate is for one double bedroom and the double sofa-bed in living room.
