Originally built in the 1940's and freshly restored to it's former glory, the Owl's Nest Cabin is a slice of Pioneertown history. In addition to the Cabin we offer the "Little Hoot" vintage trailer. The Little Hoot is a 1957 Aljo that has been completely restored. The trailer option functions as an extra bedroom and relax space for extra guests. The trailer rents for an additional $70 per night.
Guests in the trailer will use the bathroom in the cabin, just steps away.
We are located in Water Canyon just 1.8 miles from famous Pappy and Harriets and Pioneertown's scenic Mane St. The Owl's Nest Cabin offers majestic views of the Sawtooth Mountains and is just a short drive to the nearest Joshua Tree Park entrance (Black Rock). Also nearby, The Pioneertown Mountain Preserve offers plenty of hiking trails.

This cabin is a world away from the hustle bustle of the city. Completely surrounded by nature, it's the perfect place to get away. Enjoy listening to the birds sing, watching the coyote's wander in the wash, and breathing in the fresh desert sage air.
We do not offer a TV. We do have internet and a bluetooth radio. The main source of heat in the cabin is a pellet stove. There is also a wall mounted electric heater in the back room. If you decide to add the trailer option during the cold months be assured it is as cozy as can be, thanks to a small but powerful electric heater. It's also quite cozy inside the cabin, however a warm sweater and warm socks are still recommended during the coldest winter months. The pellet stove in the cabin features simple push button operation and has a thermostat. It can run for about 14 hours before more pellets must be added to the hopper. We provide the pellets. In the warmer months the cabin is cooled by an evaporative cooling unit (swamp cooler) that is mounted on the roof. It forces a large amount of air through the cabin and can only work if a window or two in the front room are left about halfway open. If all the windows and doors are closed the evaporative cooling unit will not have the desired effect.
