Why Owner / Property Manager chose East Marion
This property was purchased in the 60's and has been run by our family ever since. "Cabin 1 and 2" are two efficiency apartments attached to the Main House that dates back to the late 1800's. The owners still live onsite and have recently done some upgrading.

The house was large, newly renovated, great location. The Fork and Anchor a short distance down main street was great. We also took the local bus into Greenport. The only issue was the stove was not hooked up to the propane. so we could not use it. Truman beach 2 miles down the road was beautiful. I would definitely come back. SNR
Thanks so much for the nice review....my apologies for the stove. I would not have offered you the main house if I knew that it was not turned on. I hope you enjoyed the space and thanks for leaving it so clean!
Charming room & owners
Irene was a very thoughtful host. She was available all weekend for all of our questions and she even bought milk for our son. The efficiency unit was exactly what a weekend in the North Fork calls for. It was very clean and cozy, with newer furnishings and outdoor space. The location was perfect, quiet but very close to Greenport and easy to explore the North Fork.
Lovely economy stay 1 bedroom with all essentials
Enjoyed a peaceful weekend stay at this small, but perfectly adequate apartment. We were greeted by our host with a tour of the apartment and a nice story about the family history of the house and adjacent property. There was a bountiful gift basket as well, with a map of the area, coffees tea, snacks and the most amazing cookies! The bedroom was tight but clean, nicely decorated with blue decor. Kitchen had a small seating area and serves as the living / sitting area as well. Bathroom was small, but very clean, included shower amenities and seashell decor. The beach pass worked perfectly to get to the private local beach, about a 5 min drive away. Very rocky beach, (bring water shoes if you want to go into water), but beautiful and not crowded at all! A chair is also recommended vs beach towel because it's so rocky, but host said she had chairs if we needed them. We also loved being so close to Greenport, about a 10 min drive, it's a very sweet small town, with plenty of shops that we found charming mix of local wears, antique shops and some higher end boutiques. Everyone local was very nice and personable. It was a very nice stay and the hosts were great! Highly recommended...We will be back!
We are minutes away from the North Fork's Vineyard Row, the closest, Kontokosta, is just down the road, a 2 minute drive. There is a lovely park a hundred yards away with a basketball court and children's playground, along with a huge soccer field. If you find cemetaries interesting, there are two in East Marion where you will find tombstones dating back almost 400 years!
