This is a one-bedroom efficiency apartment with a kitchen and bistro dining area, located in the heart of East Marion on the beautiful North Fork. It is part of the main farmhouse that dates to the late 1800's with a separate entrance that once belonged to the Stars family. Mr. Stars owned the entire stretch of land from the Main Road to the beach! Now in our family since 1968, we look forward to celebrating our 50th anniversary ! We Also live on the premises and will always be nearby for you. We comply with our town's rental laws and have minimum rental requirements. Please inquire.
Recently renovated, it has a small foyer to kick off your shoes or hang up your beach towel. The hallway leads to the charming kitchen and dining area. Stove, oven and refrigerator, toaster and coffee maker all provided. New dishes, glasses and coffee mugs, new flatware and cutlery. It has one bedroom with one double bed and one twin bed, air conditioning, Free WiFi and cable that you can watch on the brand new flat screen. New, good quality linens and bedspreads. A perfectly charming place for your stay in East Marion. White tile bathroom is impeccably clean.
We provide a free beach pass for the duration of your stay to our gorgeous private town beach you cannot access otherwise. (Please note there is a fee for a lost or unreturned beach pass)
There are other beaches very close by that you may pay to park in if you choose to.
We are within walking distance of the Fork & Anchor where you can have a wonderful breakfast or lunch & the very sought-after Lavender By the Bay farm where you can walk through the gorgeous lavender fields or purchase a plant or memento. Across the lavender farm is Sep's farmstand where you can purchase fresh vegetables, a bunch of sunflowers or even a pie! We are a very short drive away from dozens of vineyards where you can do wine tasting and tours. Greenport, which is just 3 miles west of east Marion was named the cutest town in New York State. There are so many restaurants, antiques and other quaint shops in this bustling port town to keep you busy! There you will also find the ferry to Shelter Island and the last stop on the LIRR. The Jitney stops right on the Main Road a few hundred feet from Stars Road. Orient Point, the next and last town east is where you'll find the cross-sound ferry to Connecticut.
Outside there is a new dining table and chairs along with a barbecue. Parking in the driveway right out front or on the street.
